OT: recently posted, but more on Prime (as way opposed to JH)
This context was posted yesterday here, which I read, but this came across my newsfeed just now and I was still astonished in spite of the earlier post. And, no, I do not accept everything from FOX news... But....
Deion is a high-profile entity. As was Jim Harbaugh when he came here. But the contrast in (sorry if this word is too strong) integrity seems to be astonishing. Maybe Sanders is doing some necessary cleaning that will be revealed over time as the right thing. But it sure doesn't look like it now.
I would trust JH without hesitation to hold my wallet and phone while I rode a water ride at Cedar Point. Others....not so much. As has been posted here numerous times, M players are supported by their staff from the time they commit until....yeah. Until...
Vasav: +1 for making some valid points.
But, as much as we all giggle, there was some honesty in "we didn't come here to play school." Yes, these young men have options. And to an extent I agree they are now employees and can/should be treated as such. But being totally jilted at 19/20 for a decision they made when 16/17 seems a bit unkind by the multimillionaire adult making the decision. They chose a school with football in mind, and now that has been taken away due to situations beyond their control.
Again, compare to JH and the time it took him to get where M is now. Prime could have told the powers that be to give him four years to build a powerhouse and he would have been given it. His strategy seems to be "An NC in three or flee."
The student athlete as an employee? I think you’re referencing NIL and its associated funding.
Remember - the institution / school has no direct relationship with NIL entities. The school doesn’t determine what offers / agreements the NIL entities offer - the NIL collectives are responsible for doing that.
Suuuuuuuuure. Riiiiiiiiiight. Totally that’s the way it works. And they never knew the bagmen either.

I agree that the Athletic Department / coaching staff can influence the NIL collective - but.. there can’t be a direct relationship - according to the rules. Oh, maybe i’m mistaken - since there don’t appear to be any rules regarding NIL.
Basically Deion is admitting he can't coach these kids. He's hoping imported talent will save him, but I haven't seen many reports of impact players going to Colorado.
He's going to be in a real bind when he can't run full practices.
Is that your story and you're sticking to it? You sure?
This is starting to remind me more of Rich Rodriguez's arrival at Michigan than Jim Harbaugh's first year. The hope/hype began to dwindle when some players (and former players) started to speak out against him. Harbaugh's won 10 games his first season, while RichRod went 3-9.
while RichRod went 3-9.
Get out the damn neuralyzer again, I keep trying to forget.
For someone who will most likely win 2 games next year, Prime certainly gets a lot of attention on this board.
Gonna say it again. Prime is going to succeed. 6+ wins this season. P12 contenders the next.
A friendly wager of a beer prior to the OSU game at a tailgate in A2?

gimme that
What I don't get is cutting guys at positions where you need bodies. Per the article he cut 5 offensive lineman after the spring game, and this is already a team with few bodies on the defensive line. Just having big humans who were decent enough recruits - Gray (the kid cut) was ranked around 1200th so not a stud but a 3* recruit who was still pretty young and had the opportunity to develop.
Again, I think we'll stop talking about Sanders at some point but it is jarring to see a guy play fantasy NFL GM with a college roster and seemingly not recognize that CU is not going to be a 1 or 2-year reclamation project. This isn't Lincoln Riley going to USC or Brian Kelly going to LSU, where the rosters needed tweaking but had the bones of a good team. CU was bad last year and are demonstrably worse now heading into the offseason. Maybe he bounces back and they're a high-scoring outfit that can't stop a cold and go 4-8 or something, which is at least interesting. But there's also a real chance they get housed against basically everyone and go 1-11 or 2-10 and look just as bad as last year's team but with the added stink of running off a bunch of "bad" players and replacing them with "your guys".
wait , does Cedar Point not have an option to rent lockers at the water park??
I thought this was going to be a post about some new programming on Amazon Prime.
Seriously--when does the next season of The Boys drop? I'm way more interested in that than Colorado football.
Dion is the best at self promotion and if he extends that to his program/players, I will root for him until he proves otherwise.
Yes he seems a bit dishonest and shitty. Guess we’ll find out. One thing I’m NOT worried about is CU football, that’s for sure.
Slogan of Sanders's tenure:
"Hop in that portal and get what you gonna get!"
Dude's name is Deion Sanders and it's super cringey when people use his branding name to refer to him.

Glad I'm not the only one. I freaking hate it so all I can do is troll with it at this point.

Logged in just to down vote this...WOW
lack of integrity? he had to cut him, but gave him encouragement on the way out. You can't keep players that need to be cut. In the grand scheme of things this was a good way to do it, not like some who use a side swipe way of moving a player out.
Integrity is a relative term here.
