Penultimate football action until April 17.
Chris Berman's tie is ridiculous. It stings the eyes.
Also, which Michigan players are we rooting for?
We're rooting for all Michigan players.
But it seems silly having an open thread for the Pro Bowl.
Seriously, will there be enough people watching to warrant an open thread?
Would you rather have a different thread for each position OchoCinco plays tonight?
One open thread is easily the way to go, whether there are 2 people watching or 5 million.
If all three of you want to discuss the game in one central location, don't let my "joke" stop you.
FTR, I don't believe that there was a Senior Bowl open thread but this blog seems to have survived the madness.
And to answer your question, I would not want to see a thread for every one of 85's touches. I would rather that the Pro Bowl just go away.
I'm usually not interested in the Pro Bowl, but I'm watching it tonight. Why?
Because I have a legitimate man-crush on Aaron Rodgers.
In all seriousness - in light of the immense pressure after Favre's departure, the kid has put up insane numbers. He handled the entire ordeal with class, too; he earned a fan this year. I'm glad he's starting for the NFC.
It will also be interesting to see how the new 'week before the Super Bowl' format works out...
In fact, that pretty much encapsulates my feelings. Rodgers IS dreamy...
Norv Turner is gonna do to blow this game.
Oh and Berman's tie is terrible - it would be fine if the game was still in Hawaii.
Well, he is in the Miami area. Hawaii dress standards are somewhat appropriate there, especially if he is staying on the beach.
Besides, he wouldn't be the Boomer if everything about his presence wasn't grossly loud.
And no place does loud like South Florida. Trust me, I live here.
is Disney recording artist Honor Society?
Was that who sang the national anthem? And where can I get a pair of those leather pants?
but lets face it, after this game and the Super Bowl, were fucked till fall.
I enjoy all the football I can get.
I was hoping with all the pull-outs Calvin might get a nod.
He was just injured too much this season to earn a Pro Bowl spot. He didn't even have 1,000 yards because he missed several games. Even without the injuries he didn't have his greatest season. Hopefully he can make the Pro Bowl consistently in the years to come.
*In PA announcer mode*
Now starting at quarterback, for the AFC... Matt freakin Schaub!
*edit*: That td pass was Matt Schaub's one shining moment.
and Rivers and Brady and Toothlessburger out with injuries - who else do you want?
show to start things off.
okay since when was the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl?
Not sure why, though.
I believe the answer you are looking for is ratings.
Damn. I should have taken the three-hour drive to Miami.
They could have at least pretended to try to block the extra point...
Steve Smith of the Giants is in the pro bowl over Calvin Johnson?
is trying to make me stick my foot in my mouth.
Are there Pro Bowl cheerleaders now that is what I want to know and see
during the intros - haven't seen them since.
Of all the All-Star games, the pro-bowl is definitely one of the weakest. What's the motivation to even play?
In all honesty, they'd probably be better off just electing them as "Pro-Bowlers" or all-stars and just not play like college does with their all-american team.
They seem to picking on Woodley this drive.
He got a interception for a touchdown and got robbed.
far - nice back and forth.
They took that TAINT away from Woodley those bastards!
I'm not buying that number - but the stadium looks more full than I had expected.
David Garrard is on the pro bowl roster?
Wasn't there discussion of the Jags maybe finding a new starter next season?
I think Jaws just described the players attitudes well, "and it's a pillow fight up front."
had more rushing yards than VY had passing yards this season.
