OT: OSU shootings

Submitted by Maize on
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University says an overnight shooting at a campus maintenance building left one of its employees dead and two others wounded. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100309/ap_on_re_us/us_triple_shooting_osu Just woke up and saw this. Hopefully the two wounded make it through ok. I don't know the whole story yet but these types of things are hard to imagine.

the gun laws do not matter, most people who murder acquire the fire-arms on the black market. We can put as many laws in place as we want ,but bottom line is there are always going to be crazy people in the world. Our best hope is to just limit the number

Since we really want to have a gun debate here, let me point out that the murderer was a criminal, since guns are banned there. It is almost like a man out to kill people does not care about the law. Please also note that the employees could not defend themselves, since they were in a no guns allowed area. When I lived in Northwood V on campus, Lee "I refuse to live in Michigan" Bollinger passed an ordinance that all guns were illegal, even guns in the (very nice) townhouse I rented from the University. I laughed and did what I wanted, but I always wondered if that law was unconstitutional.
