I'd have Crosby and Ovechkin much further down, if not only because they haven't played enough. Glad to see Nick get the recognition he deserves. Why do people insist on thinking Pronger is anything other than a mediocre goon?

Lidstrom is a good choice for #1. Pronger is in the top 10 by default since lots of the great players on the list were too close to the end of their career during this decade to make a huge impact. Players like Jagr and Sakic. And then Ovechkin and Crosby are only in their fifth seasons. If you took the decade from 1996 through 2005, I would say that Sakic would be #1, with Forsberg and Roy on that top 10 as well.
