OT- Nebraska’s Mickey Joseph has been arrested on suspicion of assault
From the article: “According to Lincoln Police, Joseph was taken into custody around 2 p.m. near South 34th and Tree Line Drive on a domestic disturbance.
He is facing charges of domestic assault and strangulation.”

Sad to hear that he at least allegedly did that.
It sounded like a lot of the Nebraska players respected him highly.

Strangulation? Yikes

You didn't get the job Mickey! "Say what )&&$), say it again!"
November 30th, 2022 at 7:21 PM ^
He did not take being passed over well.
Allegedly.

You have to think this sinks any chance he had of being retained on Rhule’s staff.

Nebraska football can’t catch a break

I mean, they did just hire arguably the top coach on the market
November 30th, 2022 at 8:31 PM ^
They did not hire Hugh Freeze, bud.

You Don't even know Hugh Freeze. He is the most Jesus like leader I have

What a flex, bailing on the most Jesus like leader you have to accept another job. Takes real confidence!

Also Kitna’s boy at Florida was arrested on child porn… sick fucker.

Yeesh
November 30th, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
Oof... If I had to choose, I'd take Joseph, thankyou...

What a crazy week in Lincoln.
Absolutely awful to hear he allegedly assaulted his wife.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:05 PM ^
But every Nebraska game I watched the commentators couldn't stop talking about how great of a man he is.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:10 PM ^
Nobody knows about anyone else’s inner workings. Hell, it’s hard enough to know much about yourself. I feel terrible for (presumably) his SO and even more for the Nebraska fan, who should be tickled pink about getting a new coach instead of this shit show.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
I know that. We obviously don't know any details. I'm just poking fun because I swear when Nebraska played Michigan they were talking about Joseph like he was the greatest man ever. To the point I actually believed it. Lol. Of course maybe he's innocent, maybe it was self defense, maybe not.
November 30th, 2022 at 10:29 PM ^
Well, he didn't exactly have a spotless record at LSU, but those things just aren't discussed for the most part.

All the bad things that are happening around Nebraska football sound like Karma is righting the wrong of 1997-98 where Michigan had to share the National Championship with Nebraska.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:21 PM ^
I really don't want to be "that guy" on a sports blog, but the two events can't possibly be related--karma or not--nor would we want to live in a world where they were.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:21 PM ^
Linking a violent crime in which there's a traumatized alleged victim to some kind of karma that Nebraska Football is supposedly deserving of doesn't strike me as the most sensible take on this situation.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:43 PM ^
Scott Frost failing at Nebraska is karma. This is not.

Man, this is both SAD and SICK. The guy had a job guaranteed at Nebraska per his temporary contract. And the survivor is stuck with terrible lasting nightmares.
He had a good future still ahead of him - now he'll likely never get another job in FB.
Andy Moeller has been out of football since 2014 since an assault (plus it didn't help he had at least two DUIs).
People please get help BEFORE going this far.

If the Steve Wilkos Show, Maury, and One Tree Hill had a baby, Nebraska Football would be it.
November 30th, 2022 at 11:08 PM ^
A little burned up about Matt Rhule. That sounds not good at all…strangulation?
