OT - Name my beer! (winner announcement)
So I'm an avid home brewer and I need the help of the MGoBlog community. I want you to help me name my next beer. Your post should include 1)what kind of beer it should be 2) what to name it. The winner will receive a free case of it when it's done. (provided you are 21 years of age).
(EDIT) Winner is Zoltanrules with Ale to the Victors. e-mail me your contact info. [email protected]

Crisler would be the name of a darker beer
The Schembocker
The DreisBock.
You seem to be well versed in brewing your own beer. I have done it myself a handful of times (not always successfully). Unfortunately it usually turns out to taste not very good and is more like a malt liquor. Do you know of any resources that I can read, or any tips of how I can get better?
Thanks.
www.beertown.org Lots of good info. Check out the Homebrewers Association website through there. Also, invest in a nice starter kit. There are tons of links and info through that site.

This one is all mine, better not steal the name:
'Desmond Howard Hello Heisman Hefeweizen'
O LET BREW IT
Large body, small head.
My friend and I brewed up some porter for a fourth party a few years back, named it "Born on the Fourth of July Alabama Blacksnake" always kind of liked that name. I don't know what this has to do with a Michigan beer, just liked the name...Yeah, Ale to the Victors sounds nice.
Porter or stout, and call it...
Denard's Dilithium Dark
A high alcohol content Belgian style pale ale
Dilithium Tremens.
This is a great thread...
malt liquor and call it Olde Coner's Medicine.
Bo's Lasting Fermintation
Barweiss, a high-alcohol content, extremely hopped wheat beer
Moxie - A light bodied IPA with unexpectedly powerful taste.
Shoelace Stout (or Shoelace Scotch Ale) - If you drink enough, you'll feel like you're made of dilithium too.
Brandon's Dram - A robust, high gravity porter that will lay you out before you know what hit you
Rollicking Brew - A sparkling ale that will make you reel (in a good way).
Winged Helmet Wit - Look, our bottle's got wings!
Biere de Garde-ner - A bit rough and immature right now, but give it a year or two to age, and it will win championships.
Schadenfreude Imperial Stout - Black as sin, filled with the rich flavor of roasted malt and Jim Tressel's broken dreams.
Apollo 15 Ale
Dreadlock Doppelbock
Chocolate Stout - Barwis Milk

Well it's going to be tough to beat Ale to the Victors..I really like that one. I'm thinking an IPA. Maybe use a small amount of flaked Maize in the process.
hunks of metal ala goldschläger, or just floating bits of grass seed? Either way I'm confused.

basically the first part of the process in making beer is "steeping" the grains. This is basically like making tea. You put your specialty grains (flaked maize) in a cheesecloth and steep it in hot water, just like making tea. So there will be no chunks..
Why rob yourself of a great beer-drinking experience?
Henneweizen
Edit: already mentioned, sorry.
MGoBlager
MGoLager works too.
Name it Maized and Confused
Giggity
Ty's Wheatley #6

Thanks to everyone who posted. The winner is listed in the original post. I may need help designing a label also. If anyone is interested e-mail me at [email protected].
Let's just hope the beer is as good as the thread that named it.
Are you gonna have a batch available this fall for those of us who would never be able to turn down a beer called "Ale to the Victors"?
