OT: MDen order received (placed Jan 9th)
Just in case people were in my situation - wondering how long it would take to get stuff. I placed an order on Jan 9th, and received it yesterday, so just under a month. Water tastes better when the glass reminds me of all the scores and memories from the season.
Now to wait for those poor Michigan Daily students to get around to printing and shipping everything, I imagine they're swamped. Does anyone know if they make the same amount (or more?) of money if you buy from their partner provider?

Same here, only difference I ordered mine on the 11th. Was more excited about the rose bowl gear since I got some natty gear from Dicks.

I got this email from the Student Publications Online Store (Michigan Daily):
"As you can probably imagine, we have received an incredibly high volume of orders since the National Championship game.

I imagine so yea - though it kinda also surprises me how much stuff still seems to be out there on fanatics or other sites, not sure if they were well prepared for the onslaught or they can still actively order from suppliers?

My coffee mugs were similarly packaged -- I'm not sure I could identify the materials, but "thorough" would be an understatement. Took up quite a bit of space in the box, though.

My daughter got me this one for my Bday. It's at M Den for $200 + $30 shipping, but I think she got it somewhere else for less. I'll report back on that...
EDIT: She got it for $67 from Etsy. Arrived in a week. The M Den frame looks a little nicer with the mat, but not $130 nicer.

None of it?? I had to search a bit to find some that are not so busy or gaudy, but I found more than my wallet could take. And I've been burned on "oh I'll just buy for cheaper once the hype dies down" leaving me with nothing but insane ebay markups :(
We're such a big brand you'll probably have options forever though.

None of it. I really want a nice rose bowl shirt but the closest thing that looked good was the pullover with the logo on the left breast but it has the sponsor advertising on there which I won't wear. The gear with HOU highlighted doesn't do it for me, the CHAMPS font on a lot of stuff seems star wars-ish, I don't like any design with the block M and the word Michigan spelled out on it (I prefer one or the other, not both) and the rest of the graphic designs just aren't good. At least not any better than regular Michigan gear. Sigh.

My wife and I spent about a half hour at MDen a few weeks ago. Walked around in circles looking at everything. Left empty-handed. Didn't like any of the designs and/or the material of the shirts and sweatshirts. Tacky and overdone designs with too many logos...and cheap material.
Been that way pretty much since the beginning for us since the switch back to Nike/Jordan.
I buy most of my stuff at Underground Printing and at a store near us called Caruso Caruso. I like this thicker sweatshirts and the tri-blend, more fitted t-shirts.

Like most people I appreciate gifts for the sentiment, but that applies to all gifts I've ever gotten. If I really wanted that particular thing, I'd have bought it already.

I placed a large order on January 10, which finally shipped on January 30 and arrived on February 2. By that time, I already had received another somewhat large order from Dick's during their 30% off sale. I probably purchased a few more items than I should have, but it is a nice way to remember attending the championship game. I noticed that Dick's now has lots of items at 50% off, but I probably have enough for now. (I placed another small order yesterday for a few items at Mden that were not going to ship until the end of February.) I am still waiting for the Michigan Daily poster. My excuse to my wife is that it may be another 26 years before this chance comes around again.

Even if it happens, as they said on the podcast, it will never feel as good as this. All the years (26 years since 97, 17 years since football Armageddon 1, actually losing record years, 9 years since Harbaugh came back, 3 years of being on the cusp) leading up to team 144 (hopefully) will never be replicated.

I took this as an excuse to browse Dick's and I'm genuinely surprised that none of the championship gear is available in extended sizes. Maybe it was at one point, but not now. I'd think that at least a basic champs T-shirt would be available.

This was probably my last order ever from MDen. The stuff arrived today after ordering minutes after the game ended.
I could have just ordered the same stuff from Dicks and received it weeks ago like others.
MDen orders always take forever, and their site is just not a good experience. Even in their story, the experience is lacking at best. I get wanting to support them instead of Dicks, but MDen just leaves so much to be desired.

Not to mention the selection at MDen has been awful for years (all sizes of everything I try to buy is sold out aside from XXL usually).

I think if they're sold out then you at least tried, and can feel good about that.
When given the choice between same items at different sites I try to prefer MDen, but that didn't stop me from buying from other places for stuff they didn't have, or was much cheaper elsewhere.

My experience was different. I ordered the day of the game and got the stuff a couple weeks later. They were transparent about the fact that it would not ship until 1/26, so when it arrived earlier, I was pleasantly surprised.
I rather support M Den than Dick's or Fanatics.

I went to the M Den store yesterday. I waited in line 15 minutes paid for my order and it took 35 seconds to get it on the other side. Seriously, I am really glad we have the internet to order things from. Options were slim but I did get some good stuff.

Ordered on the 9th as well, have not received mine. Have called them and have no answers other than "as soon as we can." Their email on Jan 28th stated that they'd be sending "most" orders in 7 to 10 days from the 28th. Few more days before they blow past that.

I have had zero luck trying to buy a picture of the national championship team, taken either in front of the Rose Bowl or in the Big House. I would appreciate any guidance. The 1997 team picture I have was shot in front of the Rose Bowl. Thanks.
