OT Knicks & Magic make history
I am subjected to some unbearable sports fanchises(I live in CT) the New York Knicks are one of them. Occasionally I will put them on to see if Hardaway Jr. is in the game, well today it paid off! They made NBA history with the Orlando Magic, managing to only score 15 combined points in the 2nd quarter, that is the lowest ever since the shot clock was introduced.
NBA obviously has scoring issue. Time to shorten the shot clock to 18 seconds.
Here's to the Knicks overpaying and giving the max to Greg Monroe next year. Slow board day. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
That's extremely hard to do....
The response has been, of course, on point:

At some point was there a rule put in place that only lets the Eastern Conference have one good team per year?
Wonder what Mark Cuban has to say about the quality of play?

The NBA should take the Hawks, Cavs and 6 best in the West and play an 8-team playoff.
Best of 11 in each round.

on one of the local NYC stations. Would have loved to see how they covered it.
Depends if it's one Dolan has paid off already.

Look at the roster. Who could win with that? In the NBA if you aren't going to win you might as well be terrible. The Knicks finshing last is a lot better than say Brooklyn and Boston finishing 7th and 8th. Neither of those teams is winning anything anytime soon.

I'm from New York and I feel your pain. I went to a Knicks Clippers game and they were down by thirty at the half

This is why when people talk about how beautiful the NBA game is and how it is demonstrably better than college, I scoff and wonder if they only watch the game-of-the-week matchups between GSW and San Antonio, or Atlanta and Cleveland. There are LOTS of terrible teams in the East, and as someone who too has to watch the Nets and Knicks way too much on local TV this score doesn't surprise me.
