OT- Kansas City / Overland Park - Fox and Hound for MSU game

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa on

I am going to be in KC (actually Overland Park) this weekend, and so I found that Fox and Hound in Overland Park hosts the Michigan Spirit Club watch party.  Any fellow MGoBloggers frequent that place?  See you there!!

You should head to downtown KC. P&L District is a lot of fun, if you've never been. I watched the '08 Minnesota game there and most people were friendly and cheering with me even though they had no rooting interest. I don't know of any alumni bars there but it's a pretty cool area.

I'll be getting updates from the friendly confines  of my phone as my family tours Washington DC on Saturday for my school's family weekend. My dad decided that maybe only getting stats/scores won't be as potentially painful as watching for us.

use to be owned by a Michigan alum nearly 10 years ago. I've gone there a few times years ago but not in the last 8 years. I'm sure they will  have one television on with the Michigan game. I will be in KC Saturday for a management meeting 10 AM - 5 PM, upset that I will not get to see the game!

I plan to be at the Fox and Hound in Overland Park for the game as it is the official watch party venue in the KC area.  I would expect there will be 20 or 30 of us there.  Could be more because it's Sparty.  They give us one of the larger party rooms with sound.  Hope to see you there.

Depending on the schedule for local teams Coach's on 135th is a great place to watch games. Good food too. If any local games are on you will prob have to do without sound though.

Last time I was in Overland Park my client took me to Jack Stack's for BBQ. The burnt ends and ribs were awesome. I'm sure MmmGoBluBBQ would approve. It would make for a great pre-game or post-game (victory) meal.

I was there several years ago to attend my cousin's wedding. Of course it was the Tate Forcier Michigan State game. It was a great venue to watch the game. All the sparties are on one side of the wall Michigan is on the other side of the wall all the fans hate each other; it's a blast. Have fun...the KC Michigan group are a fun and welcoming bunch.
