It's not every day you see a former NFL Head Coach join a college team as a Quality Control coach basically. Penn State will be tough to beat the next few years.

Umm... pretty sure having $$$ makes a lot of things and relationships easier in life...

Then there's the obvious materialistic people...

You know sugar daddies/mommas, gold diggers, sponsors etc... people can be "bought" by the allure of wealth... Ever wonder how those Instagram "models" get all that nice stuff without an actual job?

Yeah, I carried that chip on my shoulder for a long time. It's a fallacy.

Having money makes paying for things easier. While the ability to pay for services that enrich and simplify your life is arguably a benefit of those with money (as opposed to those without), enrichment and simplification can be obtained for free. At the end of the day, we're all just shitty human beings. How "easy" our lives are is completely dependent on choices, not on money.

In any event, there are beautiful women in every socio-economic bracket all around the world; all you have to do is look around. With respect to money buying beauty - or making it "easier" to access beautiful women - consider that money doesn't pay for genetics, but for better cosmetics. Are naturally beautiful women more attracted to men with money than without? It obviously depends on the guy; and whether the woman is convinced a relationship with that man is worth compromising whatever faults the guy has. Again, we're all just shitty human beings. Plus, beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder, anyway.

Your comment makes me think you put a price-tag on relationships; but I doubt that you legitimately feel that way. Good relationships are borne from generosity of self and one's time; and being genuine. Generosity with money fits into the equation, but only so long as the Spender is genuinely generous, and not "paying" for something in return. You'll never buy a Beautiful mate, no matter how much money you spend.

If you don't think women can be purchased you are living in a fantasy dream world. Observing realism is not at all chauvinistic. This is exactly the problem with the the US these days, the over-sensitivity of people is obnoxious and foolish. On the same line of thinking, men can be bought just as easily, however it doesn't happen nearly as often because of the society we live in.

Buddy, there are more whores inside the marble walls of Wall Street than there are in the five boroughs combined. Prostituting yourself is simply a commitment to vice instead of virtue. It stems from idolotry - and once idolotry gains traction in the cultural fabric - it becomes an endemic that can seriously screw up how an entire population perceives reality.

I said it before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So be mindful that your eyes are open.

Sorry for being so late, but I am not exactly sure what you are arguing here. I mentioned no reason for why women can be bought, just that they could be. I also mentioned nothing of the quality of women who "commit to their vices." I have no interest in women that are primarily interested in money. You seem to agree that their are many of such women and that they exist around money, which is all I said of the matter. I can observe society without believing in what I see.

Realize that a lot of coaches when they meet their wives are not raking in 6 figures.  In their 20s, these guys are QC coaches or grad assistants.  Or they are coaching at the HS level.  They are lucky to be making 75k at that point.  It's not until they reach the position coach at a power 5 school level that they break into 6 figures.

He could've worded it better... but he's right when it comes to the selling yourself part and being marketable to people.

This isn't what I think of tho when I hear about him being a sleazeball. I would rather think about the rape bs at Vandy that happened under his watch.

I'm not sure how much "cred" Haslett gives PSU since, I don't believe, he was that successful in the NFL.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

See the funny thing is... regardless of what you think the team should be named... the whole name of the organization is based off of a white guy pretending to be Native American that Dan Snyder still claims is not an imposter even though it has been basically proven that the dude was scamming people for benefits.

Based on that alone, I would change the name from Redskins to something else.

Dan Snyder finally caved and agreed to change the name of the team.  Starting with the 2016 season they are changing the name of the team to the...

(1) If Bob Shoop (Penn State DC) has another good year, he's going to be a very hot commodity on the job market.  He almost took the DC job at LSU this past January.

Haslett is a viable back-up plan in case Shoop leaves.

(2) Also, Haslett's son Chase is playing at IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) --- a Division 2 school that is wtihin a 2-hour drive of State College.  Relatively convenient for Jim Haslett that way.  Chase is a transfer who was at the University of Illinois a few years ago.
