On a day like today that fan base lives and dies by the number of 5-stars OSU brings in. And yet that same fan base ran their 5-star qb out of town.

Wait, check that. That was Michigan that did that…

Couldn’t a University if Michigan attorney bring suit against the NCAA for not evenly enforcing their rules? The Houston contact is about as black and white as they come re:re recruit contact during non contact period.    The NIL stuff regarding Jeremiah Smith should be investigated too-lots and lots of smoke.

The argument that this is trivial doesn’t really apply. Harbaugh is being “prosecuted” for the exact same thing.   Remember, a lot of organized crime guys have been put behind bars because of tax evasion, which is the least of their crimes.. .

Harbaugh is on the hook for saying he didn't remember buying the recruits a cheeseburger which is a level 1 violation.  Having contact is a level 2 violation.  (According to articles I've read.)

But yeah.  OSU had illegal contact with Smith (and if I'm reading your post right Houston) which would be two level 2 violations.  They just didn't lie about it.  They also outbid Miami for Smith, which I'm sure is a defcon negative infinity violation.   ...but no one is going to look into that.

Our current standing with Ohio reminds me so much of our former situation against Michigan State, but reversed. They get the big name recruits and beat their chest, we get guys and develop them. Never been more confident in this rivalry. Michigan’s defense and run game is going to travel into Columbus next year and make it 4x in a row. Mercenaries for hire will be the first to jump ship from Ohio’s bought roster. This is a 1 year rental.

I would rather he have not signed with them, but it is what it is. Michigan just let a generational WR talent, not just for OSU but for college football at large, end his OSU career 0-3 against Michigan.

I don't know how you can get much better than Marvin Harrison Jr. Michigan is still more than capable of beating these guys on a long-term basis, whether Jeremiah Smith is there or not.
