OT-ish: 247Sports (and others) reporting Cade McNamara likely done for the season

247 Sports was the first article I saw, but it's all over Titter/X now too.  Many reports that Cade is likely done for the season.  Kirk will give an update at his Tuesday press conference...

I wasn't pleased with the way he left, but damn, I feel for the kid.  Rough way to go down, hope he recovers fully.

I do feel horrible for him.  Some of my favorite memories of 2021 with Cade (other than OSU) was how insanely happy he looked when we pulled that win out at Nebraska, so much so that he took the offensive line out for a steak dinner in Ann Arbor.  And of course, him getting emotional with the reporter after that win at Penn State.

Then last year in the opener against Colorado State, he looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.  When he got bailed out on a near interception, he just looked like a deer caught in headlights.  And of course, the Hawaii game where he was in for about, what, 3 plays?  Throws an interception and gets leveled, causing an injury that turned out to be season ending.

Now he transfers to Iowa of all places where he has to work with Brian Ferentz...and now another season ending injury.  Ever since winning the big ten title, nothing has gone right for him.

Yeah, the way he went down made this feel inevitable.  He also apparently had a non-contact injury earlier at Iowa.  I really feel for him and hope he can recover.

Nobody deserves scorn for making immature decisions in their early 20s, at least not for mere words or even betting on college sports as long as not your own sport. I do feel bad for him and was and am rooting to meet Iowa in the B1G title game. He has clearly worked hard and recovered from surgery, only to get hurt twice (in August in practice and again vs. Sparty).

So that Michigan can pound Iowa the same way that Penn State did? Iowa is just awful and made it look as if they upset Michigan State. As bad as the West is, there is no way that Iowa is the best of the west.

He'll always have 2021 Ohio State.

Gus, after the last play of the game:

Michigan.

Defeats Ohio State.

Forty Two to Twenty Seven.

FFFINALLY!
