OT: If B1G Schools Were Office Characters

Submitted by SBayBlue on

Although I have only seen The Office a handful of times, and I don't know the characters very well, I enjoyed this article alot because it does a pretty good job in stereotyping the B1G Schools.

I especially like Meredith Palmer's swap of Outback Steakhouses gift cards for sex. That's perfect for Penn State. And Minnesota's reputation for being dorky. I went to Minnesota for grad school and while that school tries to be cool, something just isn't right there.

Dwight Schrute

Let's face it-you will always be the 'Assistant to the Regional Manager' to U of M. Although catchy, your tag lines, including "Sparty On" and "Go Green, Go White" are overused and utterly annoying. Despite your surprising amount of talent, people will never take you completely seriously because of your inferior position within the state. You are hated not out of jealousy, but out of irritation. If you signed up for a second life, there's no way you wouldn't choose to be a Wolverine instead.

Never saw the show during its orginal run (because I watched almost no TV for years) and now getting caught up, in season 5 so have not seen Robert California as yet.

I would have placed us as the Jim Halpert.  Ethical, down to earth, loyal, genuine, hardworking, quietly achieving.
