OT: How will the Green Bay Packers do this year?*

Submitted by Broken Brilliance on August 27th, 2021 at 11:41 PM

*Apart from the NFC championship game, shut up.

Unfortunately Funchess was cut today and that probably opens up a spot for the eldest St. Brown, Ferris State grade Malik Taylor, or Juan Winfree who was on the 2016 buffs squad that visited Ann Arbor, if memory serves.

Former MI LB Joe Barry takes over at DC, perhaps any Skins/WFT/Redwolves/Commanders fan can shed light on how great or shitty this will make the Packer defense.

Rashan Gary is poised to take over the top pass rusher role after great growth in 2020. Good for him.

Ben Braden may play until David Bakhtiari returns.

Fellow MgoNFLfans, weigh in. Glad I got the thread in before midnight.

Packers should win the nfc north because that’s what they do. Packers have rivalry games against the bears and Viking every year so those teams come to play. If you think about it GB packers are like Michigan in that every team thinks they are a rival. Green Bay actually wins though

From what I gather, it seems like Rogers is in fact going to return to the field this season for Green Bay (I haven't been following the developments closely, just saw that he was being interviewed on the GB sideline during a pre-season game)?

If that's the case, I would predict that they will still probably win the NFC North with a 10-7 record, because it is more than likely the worst division in football right now. Without Rogers, I could see either Minny or Chicago edging them out; maybe finishing somewhere around 7-10, 8-9.

How does their quarterback situation look post-Rogers? Haven't heard if Jordan Love appears to be a suitable heir apparent, or if they're gonna be in the market for a new signal caller.

Love looked capable against Houston and actually had a higher passer rating than Fields (albeit with less passing yardage) during week one of the preseason. He was strip sacked and missed their game last week..seems like he may suit up against Buffalo tomorrow afternoon. If Rodgers wants out they will probably give him the reigns in 2022 IMO.

I've got an ongoing bet with nephews in Green Bay, I have to draw a picture if GB wins, they have to draw one if the Lions win. My drawing's improving with all the practice I'm getting.

They should win the division as it’s probably the weakest in the NFL.

This will inflate their record and make them overrated (again) come playoff time, so they lose a home playoff game as a favorite.

Again.

Almost none of us give a shit about the Packers.

Tom Brady is the Goat and Aaron Rodgers isn't even in the discussion because Brady has separated so far that there isn't even an discussion to be had. But if memory serves me right, you've tried to make an argument for Aaron Rodgers multiple times in the past.

Green Bay has had back to back Hall of Fame, Top 10 all time Quarterbacks for almost a 3 decade stretch, and they're probably only going to get 2 Superbowls out of it.

They've treat Rodgers poorly and they deserve to lose him after this year.

Your Packer love is insufferable.
