Just wanted to take the time and thank all vets on this board for their service and dedication to our country.
will be michigan's highest pick in a while
Thank you to all of the brave women and men who defend freedom and serve our Country with honor.
People can argue back and forth about Rich Rod and the team, and sometimes they can get nasty and heated and think bad things about others on this board. But it is days like today to remind us that we are and will be always united under the banner of freedom and just be enternally thankful for the men and women who defend us with honor.
A number of people in my family and my wife's family have served so this day always has special meaning for my household.
We are the land of the free, because of the brave. Thank you Vets!!!
To all veterans - Thanks for the service to and often sacrifice for this country. Your efforts have made and continue to make our efforts come more easily.

I want to thank every veteran out there who served his/her country with pride and honor! Stop what you are doing today and sit back and enjoy a beer....you more than earned it and I wish I could buy it for you. God bless!
To those that are serving or have served: Applebees is giving a free meal to those that can prove current or prior service. Unfortunately this is only for Veteran's day. So for those who qualify, go get yourself a good meal and possibly conversate with fellow vets.
Thanks to the veterans and those still in service to this great country. We can never thank you enough.
In the military. I enjoyed both my time stateside and while deployed to both Iraq and afghanistan. There is a lot of stuff that I do miss on a day to day basis.
One of my favorite quotes reads: " If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you're reading it in English, thank a veteran." Thanks for recognizing all of the vets out there.
every day, but especially, today. Thank-you for your service in defense of freedom.
Taking it one week at a time
Thank you to all the veterans who read this blog. You definitely do not get thanked enough but you deserve it!

Glad to see an important day (and important people) being recognized.
Sportscenter.com raves: Sgt. Wolverine, "Michigan's biggest fan"!
the sentiments. I know there are a few of us on here, and I'm sure we all appreciate it.
Thanks to all the Vets. I especially thank those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
On another note, my brother is currently serving in the UAE. Although this is not a terribly hostile area, he did volunteer to go over there before he knew where he was going. He is a huge Michigan fan and reads the blog daily after his shift. I get phone calls from him during the Michigan games since he only gets to see a few of them due to the cable system on base. We are going to attend the UConn game next year, to officially open the new big house, since his tour of duty in the Air Force ends in July. So, to my brother, a great big GO BLUE!!
"It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!!"
As a Vet, I appreciate the thanks. I hope our Vets
when returning home from Iraq and Afganastan get
like the heros they are.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here.
This is just so great to see..As a veteran of Vietnam our country disowned us and the people treated us with disdain and sometimes just down right hatred on our return back to the United States...While nothing was ever accomplished in that war, because of the way we were treated, no returning soldier's will ever have to experience that treatment again...I'm proud to be a vet, to have served my country and most of all proud of the way the people of this country now look at and honor those who have served in all wars and conflicts
OMG
Our country owes you and your generation a great debt for the sacrifices that were made. Thank you for your loyal service and I hope your days are filled with success and joy!
I can't even imagine what that was like for you guys. In my time in Iraq, I anticipated the reception I would receive upon my return for several months. It was even one of the things that kept many of us motivated. To Veterans of Vietnam, my hat (or cover) is off to you for fighting a brutal war without the support of the general population.
Thank You.
For today, goodbye. For tomorrow, good luck. And forever, Go Blue.
Thanks for all of the things you do for your country. The things we know you do and the things we never find out about.
Great post joelrodz!
When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing.
Great post. If there are any veterans on this board or family of...
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!
