OT: The Friday "What are you up to?" Posbang Thread
It was a good idea. Stick with it! My wife just ran the Cleveland Half a few weeks ago. The training sucked, but I know she felt rewarded for it. One of these days, I'll whip my lazy butt into shape and run one, too.
Embrace the suck!
I was in Cleveland for my buddy's CWRU Law graduation the day of the Marathon. I'm not sure what the morning was like, but by the time I got up there from Cbus it was murderously hot. So, congrats to your wife on getting through - heat wipes me out.
For my part, I ran the 26.2 in Detroit last October but fractured a metatarsal in the process, so I'm still working my way back and currently trying to convince myself I should sign up for the BTN Big10K in Chicago at the end of July.
I've been having a little problem with them lately. Apparently, we're putting the new cover letter on all TPS reports before they go out. I'm going to try to remember to do that from now on.
My sister's graduation party is today, a future wolverine. Following in my footsteps and I couldn't be prouder. Going to be some good food and I'm providing the beverages, it should be a good time for all(even if im one of the few allowed to get buzzed).
Just waisted 3 minutes of my life reading some thread about some government nuclear accident cover-up military operation conspiracy. Now it's on to patients and consults. On call this weekend, but hoping to go out to dinner tonight and to the zoo later this weekend with the kid. Also hoping to break in a new babysitter.
Break in a new babysitter? Is that an intentional innuendo? If so, have fun.
"And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know, it's gonna be Michigan again, Michigan."
Reviewing a mountain of sales tax returns, which is very exciting. Tomorrow I'll be playing a round of golf while my fiance is at her wedding shower. Playing a drinking version of Cards Against Humanity tonight hopefully. If you haven't played that game and aren't easily offended, I would highly recommend it.
Nursing a hangover at work... Fridays tend to be bittersweet at my desk.

Does anyone know if the zip code for Ann Arbor recently changed?
48108, 48103, 48109....?

I have the zip code for Lorch Hall changing from 48104 to 48109. Maybe this happened a while ago?
So in that way, it's like your mother.
Formerly 'mgoblaniel.'
Ohh yeah well your mother needs a Zip +4
That's the 48109 one.
Here's a map

Thank you. We send a lot of mail to the University and I'm not sure if the 48109 zip code is being used for everything. I may be in for an exciting afternoon of data entry now.
It'll go to the University, and if the rest is clear, they'll figured out where it goes. The school basically has it's own postal department.

let me get in on this action.
beautiful day, stuck in a cubical, getting hungry thinking about lunch.
all in all, it's a normal day.
Spending another gorgeous Friday in the office running reports that no one will ever read. I'd much rather be at the beach.
At work currently getting ready for 5:00. Then this weekend working on building my new shed and maybe playing some softball on Sunday. Woot woot.

Sitting at work (read: not working as hard as I should be) and thinking about my trip to Deutschland at the beginning of July. Particularly thinking about how many rauchbiers I'm going to drink when I visit Schlenkerla in Bamberg.
Waiting for the ball to drop on this work day so I can get my drink on.
I am working on a departmental operating manual, but am trying to find every reason I can to avoid actually working on it. I've completed one before and it was a pain in the ass.
For my daughter's "top reader" award.
Then work. Yay.

My boss and their boss are both out of the office, so I'm planning my escape. My fiancee is throwing registry chores at me for her bridal shower in August - wall sconces, blender, and a wok....exciting shit. Another beautiful weekend in Raleigh so pool and beer tomorrow and Durham Bulls/Mud Hens game on Sunday.
I'm disappointed that Wall Scones aren't actually food and even more disappointed that I had to look that up.
As I am on summer break...woke up at 9, got my swell on, gonna watch Euros all day, watchin USA v A&B tonight, then takin the lady to the local observatory.
"Welllllllll..."
Lunch at my desk - taco bell then work a few more hours at the office...
then work on replacing the siding on my house all weekend... UGH...
Too much Tennessee...but some random comment pics were amusing-

Blade... yo, BLADE... you are needed two GIFs down. STAT.
I know, I know, but that sparkly guy will still be sitting there being a terrible actor when you get back. The Hammond may explode at any moment.
I just posted a bunch of photos (to facebook) of a trip I took earlier this month with a friend, so I am obsessively checking for updates as comments from our mutual buddies roll in.
Candace: No... That why they make smart word box for tell monkey hard brain-hurty things.
Phineas: Removing prepositions makes it more condescending.
Might I ask "to where", good sir?
"Welllllllll..."
Do we get to see?

It was a "moving back home to Chicago from CA" trip, so it is many photos of stops along I-80. Not that scenic. I
'm not ready to post my facebook page to mgoblog because once you guys figure out I am David Brandon's mailman's cat's veterinarian's babysitter, the jig is up.

Finishing up the cutouts and painting the control panel for the electric brewery I'm building. Then drinking homebrew. Fishing tomorrow and Sunday.
Wife and kids return from India Monday, so I should probably get the drill press off of the kitchen table as well.
Brewer. Wolverine.
Dude, that sounds awesome. I keep meaning to build something like that but I never have the time. Post a pic of the finished product!

Which means putting out little figuative fires. First we ran out of a test fluid, then a test machine can't do what we need it to, so I have to try to talk to Germany about how to make things work... but Germans have gone home for the day.
I get to call another Big 3 supplier today to figure out why they're going to go back to older tech rather than just tweak a calibration.. hooray car companies! None of them want to be the first to use new stuff.
Oh, I've also got a 6 mile run tomorrow morning. Really debating if agreeing to do a half marathon this fall was a good idea....
