OT: Florida's amazing DB class
It's just crazy to me how many gems they're getting with already so much depth already.
4 * Demar Dorsey DB 6-1 175
5 * Matt Elam DB 6-0 205
4 * Jordan Haden DB 6-0 198 4.41
4 * Cody Riggs DB 5-8 156
4 * Joshua Shaw DB 6-1 195
4 * Jaylen Watkins DB 6-1 172 4.44
4 * Jonathan Dowling ATH 6-3 178 4.52
I think 6 of these guys are in the Rivals 250.

I believe bro.

Brother. His other brother plays for BC. All played at Friendly in Ft. Washington Md.

...guess who their DB coach is. One Vance Bedford, who I really, really wanted RichRod to do everything in his power to get Vance to stay.

he might not be their DB coach for long. i'm thinkin' he'll go to louisville with charlie strong
December 11th, 2009 at 3:12 AM ^
he'd need a promo to DC, imo.
Hmm, coach 4- and 5-star DB recruits or Louisville's players? That's a stumper.
December 11th, 2009 at 11:29 AM ^
that's exactly what he'd be doing at UL

That's about as good a secondary class as a school can get. And don't look now but OSU is the current "team-to-beat" for Seantrel Henderson, Sharrif Floyd, and Latwan Anderson.....great. Why o' why can't Tony Jefferson just come to Michigan along with Sean Parker and Dillon Baxter. USC doesn't need the RB's anyways.
December 11th, 2009 at 2:45 AM ^
are they the team to beat for seantrel?
December 11th, 2009 at 10:23 AM ^
In this weeks recruiting questions. They list those 3 as OSU leans with USC being the outside team to watch on Henderson.
December 11th, 2009 at 8:28 AM ^
USC is absolutely the team to beat for Henderson. I'd also be mildly surprised if Floyd ends up at OSU - I think he ends up at Florida.

Florida hasn't "gotten" anybody yet. With this many highly rated players, I wouldn't be shocked if someone were to decommit before signing day.

Rumor has it here in Louisville that Bedford and possibly their WR coach is going to come to UofL with strong. I have no concrete evidence on this just yet but it has been talked about numerous times in the local media (doesn't say much) so take it with a grain of salt. That would be a big hit to Florida if it was true though.

Yeah, must be nice having such a wealth of talent right in your backyard (all but one of those guys are from florida, or have a florida tie in haden's case). I remember watching an interview that Bear Bryant did years back and he said that if Florida could ever get a decent coach they would be one of the most powerful programs in the country due to all the in state talent.
December 11th, 2009 at 10:28 AM ^
This is exactly what makes Texas a power program. Each of the last FOUR recruiting classes, they have had exactly ONE out-of-state recruit. That is four out of state recruits the last four years.
With that kind of local pool to draw from how could they ever have a bad recruiting class?

what florida does is that recuit alot of dbs and turn them into other positions
