This went up yesterday, so of course there are already several recorded versions of it.

I've been listening to these and reading this comic over and over again since I first saw it. I can't stop. It's too good.

I was an Econ major.  Sexy for overseas where every economy is a disaster and economists are looked at like doctors helping the sick, but near useless here.

I felt strangely vindicated at first that "cognitive science" was not specifically called out, but then I assume that is lumped in with "psychology", and therefore is at least better than "social psych". Alternatively, we can look at this from a "degree-result" standpoint - cognitive science undergraduate major somehow equates to a front-line supervision position in a public utility. I probably would have been more successful to date as an "undecided" - the author has a definite point, and making it in the fashion of Gilbert & Sullivan is an awesome touch.

I never miss an XKCD. When I read that one I tweeted that our general studies majors should learn this and whip it out whenever somebody disses their majors.

You make it sound like writing words to G and S is difficult

Nerds and college students - yes, this comic has a motley cult

Appeal to guys with too much time to waste - it's quite a strategy

Who else would read sophomoric crap and say "I love XKCD."

Political science and cellular and molecular biology, here. So depending on whether CMB collapses into biology, I'm either fully- or half-unscathed, the second of which is kinda like being scathed.
