OT: Every goal from the 1966 World Cup, gif'd
On reddit, someone did one of those damn-the-internet-is-great things and posted gifs of every single goal from the 1966 World Cup. They are really fun to watch.
For example, the Soviet Union's Igor Chislenko ripping one against Italy in the group stage:

Technically this season has been over since 1st week of October...

This might be one of the most random and wonderful things yet.

the 1936 Berlin Olympics Modern Pentathlon before I get too excited.

So that's like four or five total, right?

Eh, it's a bye week and there's not a lot of news at the moment...and this is pretty cool actually.

Wouldn't discussing the merits of Kate Upton dancing the dougie be a better thread....

These are o.k., but wait until you see the ones from 1938.

People say we live in the past, but we have nothing on English soccer fans. In their minds, the 1966 WC was last summer.

Good Beckenbauer footage... Maybe because it was all goal highlights, but there were some pretty soft goals/goaltending.

Very cool way to relive a major sporting event from the past.
Imagine if every ball in play/strikeout/walk from a World Series Game 7 from the 30s was gif'd. That'd be sweet.

The US absolutely was trash in the second half - embarrassing. Ended up 2-1 COL, and it should've been about 5-1.

against James and the #3 ranked team in the world. I also didn't know Craven Cottage was Bogota East.
I like what Klinsmann is doing and some of the young kids showed promise being thrown into a new level of play. Green cost them immediately after he subbed in on the second goal but hopefully he will grow from it. Rubin, 18, showed some promise as does Yeldin and few others.
