I wish I had seen this matrix decades ago, I've experienced 3 of the 4 warning signs listed as "Danger Zone" (all except "stripper") including 2 that apply to my ex wife.

Instagram Model?  I hereby declare myself an MgoBlog Author, Scholar, and Web Designer.  You see, I have written a post, researched the information in that post, and inserted a hyperlink.  If a girl who takes pictures of herself and posts them on Instagram can be a model, any of us can pretend to be whatever we wish.  I need the collective creativity of this blog to manufacture as many official job titles as possible that relate to what we do here...

"Model" is a pretty loose description to begin with. Even before the Internet, it covered everything from supermodels to the two people my wife used to work with who'd occasionally appear in the Lands' End catalog for a little extra money.

Nowadays, though, it's really easy to put your portfolio (or the equivalent) on Instagram and other sites, regardless of whether or not you really have a shot at making money as a model.

If you date an Instagram model or influencer or whatever you are probably also an idiot.
