I was going to say the same thing. WTF is an "Instagram Model"? Isn't that just someone who isn't ACTUALLY a model, but posts pictures of themselves online?
A successful instagram model gets enough followers that advertisers pay them to post about products. A few make a lot of money.
Yeah, anyone questioning what an Instagram model is 1) doesn’t have children, 2) doesn't understand how advertising works or how young people make money, 3) doesn’t have an Instagram account.
I'm not remotely surprised that "Instagram Model" is a designation, but I'll say it does seem to be a pretty loose definition in a lot of cases.

"Model" is a pretty loose description to begin with. Even before the Internet, it covered everything from supermodels to the two people my wife used to work with who'd occasionally appear in the Lands' End catalog for a little extra money.
Nowadays, though, it's really easy to put your portfolio (or the equivalent) on Instagram and other sites, regardless of whether or not you really have a shot at making money as a model.
I'm guessing she makes money off of IG whereas you dont make money posting here. So no.
