OT-Bills OLC arrested for punching a boy
I personally don't know what goes on in an adults head that he feels the need to punch a child and then treaten to kill his family if he reports it to the police. I hope the Bills fire this guy pretty quick. Given all the domestic violence issues within the NFL this is another bad blow for the shield.

The Florida State offense is wondering what all the fuss is about.
On one hand, if you read the report, the kid apparently was sitting in the guy's lawn chair. I mean, is he just supposed to ignore that?
(Put another way, holy shit does this guy need to be fired. After the Bears debacle, it's surprising that the Bills took a chance on him. But he's out of strikes, and likely headed to jail/counseling/etc.)
If I had a dollar for every random kid I've punched off a lawn chair...
If I had a dollar for every random kid I've punched off a lawn chair...
BTW, the correct response to this is, "Hey guys, those are our chairs. Need em back." If they say no, call the police. Not hard.

so there is that.
Richie Incognito is going to feel right at home in Buffalo with this guy...
Seems like a good pairing
Must be some really nice lawn chairs
Not defending the guy because I don't know what happened but the media has a habit of calling 16 and 17 years olds "children" and they are far from it. These could have been 17 year old punks who deserved to get their asses kicked. I doubt he punched a little "boy".
A 48 year old "man" should know better then to assault someone much younger than them. Who cares if they are 16 or 6, he knows better.
Every 2016 recruit we are getting excited about is a "child" according to the media. Michael Onwenu is a "boy" since he's only 17. I'm just saying that the media has a way of manipulating stories when it suits them. I'd like to hear his side of it. That's all. I know the PC police will think I'm a monster for daring to suggest that a 17 year, 11 month old might not be an innocent little angel victimized by a crazed football coach.
A 48 year old should know better and not assault anyone, much less a teenager. There is no defense of this, except obvious self-defense.
But, you're both right.
Just two different discussion points, but I agree 100% with both of you.
Sorry, carry on.
This point occurred to me too - it's curious how the reports have been about a "boy" without any indication of the victim's age. It would not shock me to learn that the "boy" was a 17 year-old big kid. It doesn't make the punch and threat right, but it definitely changes the story. You'd think if it was a younger boy, they'd have mentioned the age for the dramatic effect.
It was really stark how they avoided mentioning the victim's age, and I think it's fair of you to bring it up. Of course, in the context of getting someone out of your beach chair, the Bills coach looks like an asshole regardless.
(Unless it was a really, really nice beach chair. Like with a padded head rest, and two cupholders.)
Please stop making shit up and inventing stories yourself, thank you. Nowhere in the linked story does the writer refer to "children" or "little angels" or otherwise try to make this out to be something other than it is, a man charged with assaulting a minor. Nowhere, although by the letter of the law he/she would be correct in calling them "children" if they are under 18.
I'm sorry, but you sound like one of those hotheaded assholes who feels he has to instruct deviant teenage boys in proper behavior by physically assaulting them. We have ways of dealing with this through the legal system and given the person he assaulted is a minor your toughguy-in-arms Kromer is in a lot of trouble now. Better watch yourself if you find yourself in a similar situation, not only does such a charge carry the possibility of jail time, it stays on your record and can restrict future employment opportunies. If this sticks, Kromer can pretty much forget about coaching a school at any level.
