OT- Beanie Wells is sad about stuff
Like one of the comments said at the bottom, if they bench him for fumbling, what does he think they will do for this?

I miss the days when players stayed with one team for their whole careers. But those days are long gone and Wells is just stating reality. And towards the end of the article Wells admits he hasn't lived up to expectations.

So I understand this, he was benched for making a game changing mistake? In his obvious wisom he felt it was going to help him get more playing time by being a "team player". In his mind it was because he fumbled, but attitudes like his have a way of being twice as bad when the camera's off. Im sure it had more to do with attitude than the fumble.

"Wells missed seven games with knee and toe injuries this season but scored three touchdowns against Detroit in Week 15."

Ironically enough the Lions are one of the teams that should be looking at Wells next year if and when he's cut. He'll come pretty cheap and if there's one thing the Lions desparately need it's some semblance of a running game.

what you're saying is the Lions need another oft injured, underachieving running back?

Well he would fit right in now wouldnt he? MIght as well add in "from Ohio State" too!

Why don't we have 400 of these stories posted here?
Oh, I get it. Because it's really important when the player used to play for our archrival.

... My guess is that 99% of the people in the league work harder than I ever have at anything. Regardless of his school affiliation, Wells has been hampered by, and recovered from, several injuries. He's been able to do this and still be in the top .1% of young people who play football. Question his judgment or media savvy, but questioning his effort seems off.

as a back: he is stiff, upright, brittle.
he has had the underwhelming career most people predicted but i believe as opposed to clarett, he was paid more in the pros than at ohio.
generally, he is a buckeye and a big POS.
