Open Thread: NCAA Hockey Early Games (MSU vs Union 3pm) (Ferris vs Denver 5:30pm)
Have at it guys, first game has very little impact unless Michigan meets Union in the National Semi Finals.
The second game starts at 5:30 and the winner advances to face the winner of Michigan/Cornell.
Union vs MSU is on ESPNU but, www.espn3.com has all the coverage
Ferris ices it again w 49.0 left. Too quick on that. They had some room to move and probably couldve got the ENG
Ferris nearly got the ENG. DU knocked their own next off accidentally. 1.3 left w the faceoff in the DU zone. Its over
Ferris wins 2-1
This next hour is going to take forever.
Miami took a too many men penalty that looks like it was called by the linesmen. Enrico slammed his clipboard down and said "Such a bad f**king call! The f**king linesmen!". Humorous
Well, Drew Stanton was a Jet for a New York minute. He asked to be traded and now he's a Colt.
Where is the UM-Cornell game? Is the start time pushed back due to the Ferris-Denver finish? Can't find links on ESPN3 or on firstrowsports.eu.
It's on ESPNU and ESPN3 at 9 p.m. ET.
on ESPNU.
Ferris-DU ended in regulation
Maybe NCAA hockey wouldn't be relegated to tape delay on ESPNU if it looked like it was a fun atmosphere. I can't imagine it's very interesting thing to watch on TV for an exploring fan is you're watching North Massachusetts State play West Minnesota Tech in front of 100 fans. If people turned on a regional game at Yost, then I bet some people would hang around and watch.
Shameless plug for anyone that wants to follow the game and chat with your fellow fans tonight, I got a live blog going at MichiganHockey.net (and we got a link to a live ESPNU stream that's NOT ESPN3 for those who can't get it!). Come one, come all!
Holy Miami.
Miami scores twice in about 15 seconds. Now 3-2 Lowell.
Good God, Miami just made it a one goal game
tied
River Hawk no!
Miami has come all the way back. Hard to see them losing with all this momentum.
Miami ties it up
Miami's gonna win this game 5-3 at this rate. My friend from Miami is much happier now
I just hope this game ends in regulation. I don't care who wins. Just don't cut into my game
Another checking from behind penalty. 5 minute major and game misconduct. Advantage Miami. Prolly shouldn't have been 5 minutes, Miami guy turned at the last second and it wasn't that hard of a hit
Have to play the last 3:30 of regulation defending a 5 minute major. Good luck with that. Just lose quick so I can watch Michigan in HD.
Glendening!
I thought this would be tougher.
