Ok Here's My Final Four for the 2010 Tournament

Submitted by the_big_house 500th on
I've got Kansas vs Kansas State and Kentucky vs Baylor. I've got Kansas vs Kentucky for the National Championship. Kentucky wins it all. Anybody else have the same or something different?

3 Big 12 teams. That's pretty bold. I don't see Kansas State or Baylor there. I haven't had a chance to look at the the brackets. Have you seen Baylor play much this year? I've only caught one Baylor game all year and they didn't leave a very memorable impression.

With Hummel, Purdue is a really solid team that could go far. Without Hummel, I think Purdue can lose in the 1st weekend. In fact, I have Texas A&M beating them in the second round. I probably need to do a little more research on some of the teams before I finish my bracket, though.

Purdue won't get past the sweet 16, but I don't think they are a shoo-in for the first round upset that everyone thinks they are. Siena is getting a ton of hype as an upset pick and the Minnesota game is too fresh in everybody's mind. They'll play with enough of a chip on their shoulder to get by Siena but the game against A&M is a toss up IMO.

I've got Lehigh, Vermont, East Tennessee State, and Ark. Pine Bluff. Nah, I actually have the same four as the OP, with KState Kentucky in the 'ship, and KState winning it all. And MSU losing to Houston...

It seems like everyone has UK vs. KU in the final. Almost all the "experts" ESPN had on TV picked that. I really want to say one is going to lose along the way, and be a man and pick some upsets, but I don't see it. Right now I have them in the final too. I always like Villanova and Syracuse too, but I haven't done a full research of the brackets yet. Is anyone doing a MGoBlog bracket group on Facebook/ESPN/CBS/Yahoo?

It's just that those 2 are do much better than anyone else. But inexpliciably, they gave them the two hardest regions, so the upset could happen. They could have tougher games in their region than the Final Four. Then it's talent vs. experience. And depending on Calipari to choke with the more talented team again. There's a post a couple down from here with a Facebook and Yahoo MGoBlog brackets thing.

Duke got a joke bracket. Unless they take a crap they should coast. Hard to believe Kansas was considered the top seed when their bracket is much tougher than Duke's. Villanova has looked awful lately. Wisconsin is a nightmare matchup for Kentucky....veteran team that plays tough defense against a team that wins almost solely because they are more talented than the opposition....I'll take Wisconsin there, leaving the Final Four open for West Virginia. Kansas is the best team in the country. I'll take them to go even though Georgetown and OSU are dangerous 2/3 seeds. Syracuse got a pretty easy bracket too. Gonzaga in the second might be their biggest test....I am not a Kansas State believer at all.

I'm not too high on Kansas. Keep in mind WE hung in there with them at their place. Also if Kansas ends up playing Kansas State in the final 4, it is really hard to beat a team 4 times in the same season, especially a team as good as K-State. I am pretty high on Kentucky though. Calipari was one miracle shot away from a national title in 2008, and personally I think John Wall is better than Derek Rose.

I originally had Wiscy beating Kentucky but now I am not sure they will get past Temple. Temple had a great year. Wiscy didn't have a great finish to the year but played well overall. Dang this is tough. As of right now, I have Kansas, Syracuse, WV, and Duke. I am pretty sold on Kansas, Syr, and Duke. I can't figure out the East Bracket. I even thing that Texas could knock off UK in the second round since they have Pittman to neutralize Cousins.

Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, K-State. Duke over Kansas in the final. That's my tentative pick. I'm still debating whether to put OSU in instead of Kansas, and contemplating WVU over Kentucky. Thing there is John Wall is just too good.... I can't see it happening. Then again he has to have an off night at some point, right? As for K State, I've been watching them all year. They are a very good team, and INTENSE. I think their intensity, in the tourney, will make them rise to the occassion and surprise some people. As for Duke, we're the best there is, plain and simple. We wake up in the morning and piss excellence. (I fully expect to get negged for this... there's a lot of Duke Hate on this board.)

I've got OSU over Syracuse and Villanova over WVU in the semi's. A bit too much BigEast probably, but it is what it is. I have MSU upsetting Kansas and Wisconsin over Kentucky to drop those two one seeds. Villanova over Duke in a relatively crappy South bracket.
