I feel like the block font would either be hard to read or too large for my liking. And the shade looks fine to me

I guess it does flow better with the wings.

The Olde English D on the Tigers uniform is not the same as the hat and it really doesn't make a difference.

I like the numbers. Very old school!

Was the oddest thing to be thinking about after a big win....

Didn't even notice it. It doesn't bother me though, I think they looked good

It looks to me like the numbers on the helmets now are the same (or very similar) font as they used in the 1950s and 60s on the helmets, and they didn't match the numbers then either.
I think you're right that the colors don't match, but remember, it was meant to be a one-time thing, and they might not have had the time to get it perfect. If they bring it back next year, I would bet it will be better.

Did they change the font on the players name plates too? For some reason the letter looked different to me. Like they were taller/skinnier or something.

I am fine with the font on the helmet, but am glad that I'm not the only weirdo who noticed the difference!

Bold, maybe. Steelers have this as their jersey number, purdue too. Looks badass, but a sans serif with the block M = heresy!

is the one in the box score W 6 L 0 to W 7,8,9,10,11,12 L 0. Ooops! Not a font change just a numerical change.
