Non-Freshmen Weight Changes by Position Groups: DEFENSE & SPEC TMS
Thought it might be fun to compare the position groupings weight changes. I looked up transfers from their previous team roster and eliminated incoming freshmen since I didn't feel like looking them up on Hudl or in their hello posts.
Make of it what you will.
Looks like the plan is to have Braiden, Kechaun and Chibi as the anchors and Harrell, Moore and Stewart weak side? Also, Kenneth Grant is still a very large human.

McGregor and Moore both play the strong (field) side Edge. Stewart and Harrell play the weak (boundary) side.
Graham is going to dominate at 318 this year.
Were there any surprises?
Rod Moore getting after it and is ready for national honors!
Three of our top DBs added some serious weight and are growing up.
Look out Big Ten WRs. Keep your eyes up.

Thinks that jump out at me:
Amorion Walker no change at 180... figured he'd at least gain 8-10 lbs
Barrett up to 239, he's a real LB now!
Rod Moore +13 got a lot bigger, hope he maintained his speed
Josiah Stewart +15 to 245, that will help him hold up as a Big 10 edge
Kris Jenkins is going to be an absolute monster this year
The Derrick Moore -21lbs has me fired up.
Clearly that was a mission the staff put him on and serious work has been done.

Very surprising to see Amorion Walker stay the same. 180 is pretty light at 6'4". Hope it doesn't hinder his ability to press.
Hausman is gonna be a dude. I remember watching him last year against us and thinking it’d be great to see him in a Michigan uniform. Worked out well.
I can’t recall exactly who he decleated, Edwards maybe? But the kid was like a heat seeking missile. Not a chance he doesn’t see a lot of PT. I just placed an order for a Mason Graham jersey. While all the kids want the flashy players jerseys, not me. I’ll represent the number of the angus beef side taking on double teams!

This is why if I were to buy a Lions jersey it would be Penei Sewell.
Derrick Moore at 258 is stunning. Based on how big and strong he looked last year, I can't imagine him playing that light. Based on all weight gain/loss is good, I guess we have to believe he will be quicker around the edge and have a better pass rush.
I'm not buying anything under 270 for Moore though. Typo?
He did look like a naturally big man last year. I thought he would be an outstanding DE rather than an true flex end, but the coaches know a lot more than I ever will.

Seeing Michael Barrett was perfect at 233 so how could Michael Barrett at 239 be more perfect than Michael Barrett?
It hurts to think about it too much.
At 239, he should be coaching the first 4 games.
And with what seems like 10 yrs in the program, I see all American status coming.
Michael Barrett is the All American’s All American.

Should we be concerned Amorion Walker did not put on weight? At his height dude should probably be at least 195.

We're already a beefy team and the team collectively added even more beef.
