I notice on ESPN that the game against Eastern is televised on the Big Ten network at noon. I also notice that Penn State's game is televised on the Big Ten Network at noon.
What gives? Anyone know what game will be on in which markets?
Go here and enter your zip in the 'Big Ten Network Gamefinder' section: http://www.bigtennetwork.com/schedule/index.asp
Comcast has overflow B10 Channels, that simultaneously show all B10 games. I believe Cablevision does as well. Since those 2 guys have it, I'm sure other cable providers will.
also has the overflow. I think in week one they had up to three big 10 games on at once.
If I remember correctly, last year there were 4 or 5 on at the same time. I'm pretty certain that there are 3 Big Ten Network "overflow" channels on Direct this year, which would allow for 4 games on at the same time.
Here in Chicago we have BTN plus 3 overflow channels(692-694) on Comcast.
....worth it's salt will be able to get it on if it's not in your local market.
For those of us without cable and who watch the BTN games through iptv/zattoo, we only get one BTN channel. Hopefully it'll be the one that carries the UM/EMU game.
I'm pretty sure it's the "primary" game this week for those outside of the Big Ten footprint It's on as my primary game (i.e. on the main Big Ten Network channel) and I'm in South Carolina.
I'm in South Carolina too, but I have Dish Network. They also have four alternate Big Ten channels and I choose the game I want.
ditto on the overflow channels
3 overflow channels. Michigan-EMU is the primary game on BTN in SoCal.
Is there any way to listen to Beckman and Brandstetter call the game outside of Michigan? Some type of iphone app. maybe? (streaming local radio doesn't work).
You should be able to get streaming radio via MGoBlue.com. Ever since UM and WJR parted ways, the Athletic Department has been offering the Beckmann/Brandstatter audio free of charge.
according to the schedule on MGoBlue.com
i think op means penn state's game vs. temple on saturday: 12:00 noon eastern on btn
Other than scouting future opponents, is there any reason to watch temple get trampled?
The M website still does not have the broadcast station page running yet on its new site. Grrrrrr
However, it is on Sirius Ch. 121/XM Ch. 102 for the satellite radio fans.
If nothing else, log on to WTKA radio and listen to the webcast.
Cant you stream games off BTN.com now? I hope so because gay ass time warner doesnt carry BTN.
They had BTN last season, maybe they just have it in the BTN footprint area.
Bloody hell I think I'm screwed.... I live in NC and have Time Warner Cable..... *shakes fist at Angry Michigan-TV-Broadcast-Hating God*
Hopefully there will be a good stream.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH FOOTBALL GAMES
Catch your Big Ten games on TIME WARNER! See below for details in your area.
12:00 PM (ET) / 11:00 AM (CT)
EASTERN MICHIGAN VS. MICHIGAN: channel 323 or 287 (HD)
Thanks for the info! I had a very basic package through my apartment complex that we just get free, but I just decided to shell out for the upgrade. =)
Charter just picked up the overflow channels in Bay City. I think they're channels 80,81,82 and 83.
When I go to BTN's page, enter my ZIP code (in NYC) and select my cable provider (Time Warner Cable), it says the Michigan-EMU game will be in SD on one of the overflow channels.
However, the on-screen guide that Time Warner Cable provides says the Michigan-EMU game will be on the "main" Big Ten Network HD channel.
So, be careful, I guess, is my message. I'm going to set my DVR to record both and hope one of them is right.
the primary BTN (CH 256 for HD) in Chicago. The others will be on the overflow in the 600's called something like BT Xtra. I watched the MN/Airforce game on one of those channels last week.
ALL big ten games are now televised somewhere - you just have to look for them.
