New Years Resolution

Submitted by Honest Abe on
Happy New Year's Eve! Hope everyone had a good year. Things are going good and hope next year does too. What is your NY resolution? Mine is to be nicer and to make myself more useful. The latter will be harder than the former I'm afraid. Start the New Year off right and get hammered tonight folks.

Good for you, fantastic choice. Years down the road you will be so happy you decided that. That shit will kill you, watched two people die from cancer because of tobacco use. Also, yes fuck your job... aint worth it if it makes you miserable. Also unrelated, your avatar scares me and you should change it, your name is creepy enough. Happy New Year!

Wife wants to start eating all organic non -gmo foods. Personally, I should start charging more for my work. I might have to because of how expensive it is to eat that way.

We have done this in our home for a few years now. It can be expensive if your not careful. And there are many foods that don’t need to be “organic.” Our basic rule of thumb is “eat food that is closest to its most natural state”
It makes it easy to identify what is garbage and what is good for you to put in your body.

My resolutions -

1) Increase the running end of my workout. I am back to a couple miles every other day.

2) Be less of an asshole to this board.

3) Reconnect with some folks that I haven't seen in ages.

4) Change this list depending on my mood.

Resolution #1: Make my personal level of joy less dependant on Michigan football. I like to set unrealistic goals first so when I fail them I feel better about failing all the ones that follow

To stop using tobacco on" special occasions." Which means having a cigar while at hunting camp, stealing a dip from a friend while fishing, or smoking a cigarette on a Saturday night out. It stops this year.

I don't do fitness resolutions but I'm making one this year. More yoga, more workouts. My body is starting to feel my age, and if I don't start now to keep myself loose and fairly limber, I'm going to pay the price later.
