I thought #Michigan made a move with five-star LB Baron Browning this summer. Will aim to make another this weekend.

Didn't see he was visiting earlier but quite the weekend!!! As of now, it seems like a long shot based on his crystal balls and him being a Tx prospect, but getting the official is a great first step!

Also, appears OT Chuck Filiaga (fringe top 100 prospect) from Texas will be visiting as well.

His brother played for Harbaugh at Stanford, so we got that going for us. I was surprised there wasn't as much traction earlier. This kid is an freak athlete and a scholar. I'd like to hear what the recruiting experts think, but I'd bet heavily that he's in the two-deep his first season here.

I just imagined a place where Najee Harris and Baron Browning commit to Michigan.

Yup, that's it.

PS - Ok, the guy on the left may not be Najee Harris.

Who is the best linebacker prospect (ranking before college) Michigan has signed in the recruiting services era?

Lamarr Woodley was a linebacker in highschool, was a 5*, ranked 4th nationally. Same year (2003), Prescott Burgess, 5*, ranked 5th nationally, but was a safety in HS. Anybody more highly regarded than Woodley since at LB? I seem to remember him turning out pretty well, though as a DE.. :)

And of course, *'s don't mean everything - David Harris was a 3*.

More fun question - Who is the best Michigan LB (college player? College and pro?)  since 1980? (so I have a chance of having seen them play)... Harris? Dhani Jones? Steve Morrison? Mike Mallory was pretty damn good in the Harbaugh era. Jake Ryan as a bit of a hybrid? Maybe even Ian Gold?

I kinda think..

1. Harris

2. Dhani Jones

3. Morrison

4. Jake Ryan

5. Steve Morrison

about Gold and Ezeh, but TOTALLY forgot Foote and Sword. I think Gold is just off of this list by a bit, Foote and Sword 100% belong in the discussion for best ever, and Ezeh, IMO, does not. :)
