These ratings are too conservative. If you want to replicate EA's rankings, Peppers, Butt, and Lewis would be 99. O'korn would be 90. So would deveon. Gary would be 94ish. Jehu Chesson might also be 99

Yep this is true that's why we try not to rate guys way to high.  Point being if i made Peppers a 94 right now by next season he would probably be a 98 or a 99.  Even though he is a great player that's why we have to be careful and not just rate people bcuz we love them and think they are great player's or we will have 99's all over the place.

I agree with a lot of your rankings, but the guy your replying to is correct if your trying to replicate how EA would rate the players if a game were coming out. Your ratings are closer to a madden style rating (or between madden style and ncaa style). EA tended to be very aggresive with their NCAA ratings. Guys like Darboh, Chesson, Butt, Peppers, etc would be bumped up more than you have them. That isn't to say I like how NCAA rated their players, because I would prefer a more conservative rating system.

In my opinion, Mags has been getting somewhat of a raw deal over the years in terms of his performance on this board (and I have zero confict of interest in saying so).  Mods on this board rarely have anything to say about him, good or bad, as if he's not there.   So what happens?  Other B1G coaches whose players have played against him think he's pretty good, so much so that they voted him 3rd team All-Conference.   I think he is solid enough to get drafted in the late rounds on Day 1, let's see if I'm right. But on the occasion when his side of the line malfunctions, don't forget who he lines up next to.

Ya i am not sure that every team can actually have 70 players that's why we only use 69.  Some teams are a little glitchy on the game and i remember right you can't add the 70th player to every team.

Just from the looks of it I would assume a few of the freshman WR see the field. Crawford, McDoom, good chance Nate Johnson as well with everything said about him. Chris Evans could be an X factor if they want to limit Peppers offensive snaps

Looks really good. A few thoughts:

  • Magnuson is probably rated a bit too high. Probably even with Kalis and Braden.
  • Cole probably rated too low. I'd put him at a 90
  • Ryan Glasgow definitely should be in the 90s, too.
  • Think you could probably bump Dawson and Kugler down a bit, but since they're backups and haven't seen the field, your guess is as good as mine.

Other than that, looks pretty accurate to me.

Credit for not going overboard on the freshmen. The one guy that stands out as needing a bump would probably be Glasgow. I'd have him in the 90s. D fell apart without him last year. He may be that good. Would also drop out a LB or two and squeeze a couple more WRs... at least McDoom! Is Canteen still a WR?

Yep was already considering taking 1 LB out.  I was also considering takin Canteen off the team completely as i have no clue what the hell is going on with him.  I heard he was a WR, CB, and then he was going to transfer so i am as lost the next guy.  I agree on Glasgow but i cannot rate him a 90 bcuz he is not a All American or All Conference player i don't even think he was a honorable mention.  But i agree he was the anchor for our defense no question.
