O'Korn, Gentry, Perry, Taco, and Peppers to name a few deserve higher.
February 4th, 2016 at 6:20 PM ^
Lol who tf would know what to rate Gentry?? He has played 0 college snaps and played HS in New Mexico against approximately 0 D1 players.
February 4th, 2016 at 6:27 PM ^
high four stars in the game can be rated as high as 81, so why not gentry? I usually give guys the benefit of the doubt till they prove me wrong on the field. Then i scale them down. Plus, 81 isnt even high.
February 4th, 2016 at 10:59 PM ^
Generally the best few recruits in a class are the only ones at 80+. And I would have described Gentry's 4 star status as middling (175th player overall in composite) which would put him at about...76. 76 might actually be generous, given what we know, which is nothing.
February 4th, 2016 at 5:52 PM ^
I was thinking the same thing i was talking with another guy about take Malzone off the team but for now that's how it looks. I want to put Hawkins on the team as well.
February 4th, 2016 at 6:10 PM ^
I think Wilton should be higher than him, and I'd much rather have Malzone than Morris.

playing dynasty yes, guys reach 99 all the time, but that's due to EA's flawed improvement system. The attributes they give out with the actual game usually cap out at 95-97
February 4th, 2016 at 6:43 PM ^
Yep this is true that's why we try not to rate guys way to high. Point being if i made Peppers a 94 right now by next season he would probably be a 98 or a 99. Even though he is a great player that's why we have to be careful and not just rate people bcuz we love them and think they are great player's or we will have 99's all over the place.

True but a 69 person roster is nicer.

Human Centipede: Final Sequence
February 4th, 2016 at 5:54 PM ^
I can only make player's ratings so high. If they are not All American's/ All Conference or don't have the stats to adjust their ratings it's kind of hard to rate them higher.
February 4th, 2016 at 6:14 PM ^
I agree with a lot of your rankings, but the guy your replying to is correct if your trying to replicate how EA would rate the players if a game were coming out. Your ratings are closer to a madden style rating (or between madden style and ncaa style). EA tended to be very aggresive with their NCAA ratings. Guys like Darboh, Chesson, Butt, Peppers, etc would be bumped up more than you have them. That isn't to say I like how NCAA rated their players, because I would prefer a more conservative rating system.

Mason Cole - 85
Erik Magnuson - 87
Care to explain that decision?
February 4th, 2016 at 5:58 PM ^
lol ya no problem I cannot make them a 88-90 bcuz that's what my heart tells me to. Like i said b4 it's a rough draft i know that Mason Cole was a honorable mention and Eric Magnuson was a 3rd team All Conference.

February 4th, 2016 at 8:02 PM ^
Bingo. Cole was a better Tackle than Magnuson, and is likely a better Center than Tackle. I'd have Cole as at least a 90.
February 4th, 2016 at 10:59 PM ^
In my opinion, Mags has been getting somewhat of a raw deal over the years in terms of his performance on this board (and I have zero confict of interest in saying so). Mods on this board rarely have anything to say about him, good or bad, as if he's not there. So what happens? Other B1G coaches whose players have played against him think he's pretty good, so much so that they voted him 3rd team All-Conference. I think he is solid enough to get drafted in the late rounds on Day 1, let's see if I'm right. But on the occasion when his side of the line malfunctions, don't forget who he lines up next to.
February 4th, 2016 at 5:56 PM ^
Ya i am not sure that every team can actually have 70 players that's why we only use 69. Some teams are a little glitchy on the game and i remember right you can't add the 70th player to every team.

We have a freshman scale we have to follow and here is how these guys rate
Crawford = 78
Evans = 75
Johnson = 70
McDoom = 74
Perry = 76
Canteen if he stays at WR = 76
Ways = 75
Harris = 75

Looks really good. A few thoughts:
- Magnuson is probably rated a bit too high. Probably even with Kalis and Braden.
- Cole probably rated too low. I'd put him at a 90
- Ryan Glasgow definitely should be in the 90s, too.
- Think you could probably bump Dawson and Kugler down a bit, but since they're backups and haven't seen the field, your guess is as good as mine.
Other than that, looks pretty accurate to me.

February 4th, 2016 at 6:14 PM ^
Well i actually thought he was a FB myself but a guy from OS who worked on Michigan last year b4 i got there said he heard that he moved to LB from insider info i am guessing.

He probably meant Winovich...Chase moved back.
Otherwise, this is a great list. You all know I take my depth charts seriously, very well done. I'd probably change the ratings a little here and nothing, but nothing too drastic.
Great job.

Can you name another guy in their place? As of right now i cannot. That's why i posted it on here hoping you guys could give me some insight on where player's might end up.

Yep was already considering taking 1 LB out. I was also considering takin Canteen off the team completely as i have no clue what the hell is going on with him. I heard he was a WR, CB, and then he was going to transfer so i am as lost the next guy. I agree on Glasgow but i cannot rate him a 90 bcuz he is not a All American or All Conference player i don't even think he was a honorable mention. But i agree he was the anchor for our defense no question.
February 4th, 2016 at 6:26 PM ^
He got hurt, which is a big reason he wouldn't have been nominated.
