I agree.  After seeing the photoshop pics people made last week with the end zones filled-in blue or maize, I think I prefer what we've got.  I might've liked the Block M to get a little bigger, but I'm not heartbroken it didn't.

I did notice that the yardage numbers are fatter now.  Kinda like it I guess but it's not like it's a huge change.

The only different on the field is the green turf is the same throughout. Before, it had different shades of green every 5 yards.

From my understanding, the whole field probably won't get a new one for 6-7 years. But, they can easily change endzone before. I believe RR wanted to keep it the same because he didn't want to change everything, having 2 losing seasons already.

I was not aware that the letters could be moved. I always thought they had to carefully insert colored turf. FieldTurf confuses me no matter how many times I read about how it works. I really need to just get onto the field some day and see it for myself. 2011 OSU game maybe?

After seeing the picture of the askew lettering, we should invest in some shape-shifting turf that moves the goalline back when the other team approaches and moves forward as we get closer

The end zone design didn't need to be changed so I'm happy.

Obviously the letters haven't been sewn in yet.  Anyone remember the Michigan Stadium cam that used to be online?  Before the 2003 season, the letters in the end zone were placed like in these photos but in the north end zone, the "N" was backwards.  That led to hundreds of phone calls from UM fans to the athletic department about the backwards "N."

It wasn't long before the stadium cam was taken down for good after that.

...brighter green turf.  The Big House is going to look absolutely incredible this season.  Truly amazing for a stadium of its vintage.
