ESPN: Oregon takes the lead for Munchie Legaux Edna Karr (New Orleans, La.) athletic quarterback Munchie Legaux has informed ESPN that Oregon is his leader. Weird, wasn't this kid supposed to stay south? Oregon of all places.

How is it that you can like Oregon after watching them leading Michigan 39-7 in the fourth quarter and then going for it on fourth down on the Michigan 2 yard line instead of just kicking the field goal. It was an incredibly classless move regardless of the opponent and you should be even more disgusted as they did it to us. While I respect your right to root for whomever you like, please consider the way they conduct themselves before considering their jerseys (which, just for the record, are ridiculously bad).

Did it ever occur to you that they had the possibility of being stopped on 4th down, while a field goal there is virtually guaranteed points? So maybe it wasn't as classless as you think. You sound like a sore loser. We came into that game and the one prior unprepared and out of shape. It was our job to stop them, and we couldn't. They kicked our asses. Kudos to them.

This isn't little league where everyone gets a trophy and some orange wedges after the game. The sledgehammer may have been slightly overboard but what happened on the field is part of the game. We got curb-stomped and deserved every point they put up.

Think back to what you were like in HS and then what you were like after your freshman year of college. The maturity level changes drastically with those few years alone. It's especially noticeable for us old guys (at least it is for me, I'm only 26) who have been out of college for a bit and are around highschoolers frequently (my sister and brother). For most people their tastes and perspective on things changes a great deal.

I'm not doubting that kids change significantly throughout college and high school. The distinction is pretty obvious. I just don't see this as one of those things that a lot of people will change their mind on. If you thought it's ugly in high school, wouldn't you probably still think it's ugly? And likewise if you thought it was totally FUCK.SHIT.UP?

to quote Dave Barry "Eugene is located in Western Oregon, approximately 278 billion miles from anything. " I have never understood the draw to that school. On top of that their uniforms continually look like a kindergarten art fair project gone wrong.

were in a better location, say Portland, I honestly believe they would get even more interest from recruits. Autzen is probably the most fun I have ever had at a college game. It is so stinking loud and fans are so crazy for their team (in a good way, not in the OSU way) it is a sight to behold.

I don't understand why so many people are stunned every time a recruit (mostly dual threat qb's since that's our new business) says they're interested in Oregon. I'm guessing there arent' too many Pac10 games shown in the midwest, but they came into The Big House and stomped us out for God's sake! In addition to the major points that WolvinLA pointed out, they're annually in the top 25, they go toe to toe with USC every year and they run one of the best spread offenses in the country. Not to mention their qb depth is thin, so early playing time would be there.

the pot is sublime and they have the best smoothie bar of all the colleges athletic facilities. BEsides, Munchie's services are no longer needs at Michigan.

Um, you can't drink at the Big House either. I still feel it's worth going to games there. It's a Pac Ten rule that stadiums can't serve alcohol. I've been to a bunch of USC and UCLA games, they're still fun. It's not a Michigan game, but a good time nonetheless.

I don't believe in coincidence, so I am amused at Munchie announcing Oregon as his favorite so soon after DG's verbal to UM. I realize that I may be guilty of post hoc ergo propter hoc "reasoning" here, but I definitely think there is a connection between the two events.

I don't think there's really a coincidence, Gardner committed nearly 3 months ago now. The Brunetti commitment to West Virgina may have had more of a recent impact. He's actually waiting for an offer from Baylor of all places.

We have our top talent QB in Gardner and a super speedy project in Cornelius. Munchie would've been nice but I don't think he was a realistic option anymore, right?

That would give us 5 dual threat QBs in just two recruiting classes. That's probably too many to keep any harmony. Even four is a lot in just two classes, but the previous void of athletic QBs and the ability of Jones and DRob to play other positions helps.
