Grey, If I may make a suggestion. Pick up a set (upper and lower) - "base layer", and good wool socks.
Under Armour is one of the better known companies that sell base layers, and Nike gear is pretty good too. I'd also suggest a knit hat and gloves.
If you've got a base layer and jeans with a sweatshirt - and a maize jacket - you and your bride will not only stay warm - but also, you'll fit in and look great too.

“Base layer” for 40 degrees?

Haha right! He must be from the south.
I also live in the south, but lived in the Mitten for most of my life.
40 degrees is paradise and screams a hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
To each their own.

330 - The commenter was "from the south", and - if he and his wife will be at the Big House for the game, the temperatures might be much cooler than they are accustomed to.
IMO, it's much easier to deal with layers if you're "warm", than if you're cold.

Can't wait to hear Chris Fowlers backhanded compliments all game

I have never found him anti-Michigan. A couple of times I have heard Sean McDanaugh be blatantly anti-Michigan but not really Fowler. Fowler doesn’t fawn, but he doesn’t hate.

He was miles better as a studio host, and still this many years later feels out of his element in the pbp booth. I don't find him good or bad just kind of meh at this particular sport. Tennis is his thing.
He sometimes fixates on the dumb side of college football like that stupid turnover chain at Miami a few years ago. Also regurgitates the corporate ESPN narratives about the SEC way to much, nauseating.

I don't usually like night games -- a whole day spent in anticipation. But I'll be flying home from a work trip that day and I would've missed the game otherwise. Hoping that's a good omen.

Rewatched painful highlights of the game last year and we were up 30-14 in the fourth. There is no way we should have lost that game other than just falling apart at the seams. Settling for field goals, fumble, int and horrible tackling on Walker is what ultimately gifted them the win. 552-395 on yards, beat them in time of possession and first downs and somehow lost a game we should have never lost. Same thing the year before, Lombardi hit pass after pass over the top of our defense and they broke some long runs. This is why this one scares me because they either luck their way or they hit these unusual long plays they never hit against any other team.

Thorne caught fire on deep balls yesterday. Unwelcome development.

So excited for this!! Get to watch PSU/OSU at noon, have plenty of time to tailgate, and have a loud night game atmosphere.

It’s going to be a long night for anyone traveling across the state for this game. Rosco Sparty is going to be wasted from the tailgate. Stay safe y’all.

I throw a Halloween party every year on the proximal Saturday and thought this one was safe because we weren’t supposed to be playing night games vs Sparty.
Looks like the tiki bar and hors d'oeuvre menu just got downgraded to punch, bourbon and pizza.
