Milk posbang?
2 things:
I understand the concept of a posbang thread, but what exactly is a 'posbang'? Is it some mixed acronym type thing?
Second, I bought milk today that expires three days after the Alabama game. I believe this now counts as football season...
I got so excited that I drank the whole carton.

Allegedly.

I'm not much of a Sean Penn fan these days...

have you ever wondered what the guy who discovered that milk came out of a cows utters was doing????
August 20th, 2012 at 11:57 PM ^
My uncle likes to say that the first man to try cheese was the bravest man who ever lived.
August 21st, 2012 at 7:46 AM ^
I see your first man to try cheese and caviar and I raise you the first man to try Kopi Luwak.
August 20th, 2012 at 11:58 PM ^
Better than the guy who discovered caviar by squeezing a fish's ass into his mouth.

I don't find that one so weird. At least as food goes. I can see most meats, but a lot veggies and other ground fair (mushrooms are good...if they're not the kind that kill you), or spices (which ground up are good...which aren't), and food that has to basically spoil to be "good" are rank higher. I mean, who sat there and decided "salt tastes good...sand, not so much."
Milk...it all probably came about when prehistoric Kate Upton said to her husband "no, that's for the BABY!"

I hate when people pronounce milk, melk...I also hate Melky Cabrera; the schadenfreude with his b**ch a** lately is great.

Did someone say Milk?!

On another note, your electronic music was a hit, I got a few of your songs and added them to my library. Also relating to music, B-Nut-GoBlue recommended a rapper called Theophilus London, I got an album of his and loved it, have you heard of him?
August 21st, 2012 at 1:31 AM ^
I haven't checked out his album yet (but I will) but I got this remix of his from a friend a few months ago. It's pretty damn good:

It features A$AP Rocky, who is my other new favorite-rapper-of-the-moment (his song Goldie is very good, IMO).
August 21st, 2012 at 1:40 AM ^
Damn good song there. Stellar production with a great sample choice, and some quality rapping with it. Definitely being added to some playlists now.

Just off the top of your head, what kind of indie/alternative rock are you into? I'm much more into this kind of music, but the girlfriend is a huge fan of that genre, so I end up exposed to a lot of it.

It really depends with my indie music taste. I go through streaks where certain bands stick out more than others. As of late I've been on a bit of a Vampire Weekend (not terribly underground indie, but indie) roll, but I also listen to a lot of Noah and the Whale, I'm a big big Bon Iver fan as well as a huge Frightened Rabbit fan. Sufjan Stevens is always good. Bombay Bicycle Club has a bunch of good songs too. I like the more well known indie bands too like Mumford and Sons and Of Monsters and Men.
Some other good ones off the top of my head:
- Guster
- Broken Bells
- Joshua Radin
- Pheonix
- The Shins
- Tally Hall
- Explosions in the Sky
Edit: One more Rap/Rock group for you to check out: Blakroc. It's actually a combo of The Black Keys and various rappers. Awesome Blues Rock Rap ensues.

two year anniversary last night, too much champagne I guess, or I would ask her about your picks and some better insight on hers. The ones I know she's into are: Manchester Orchestra, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Iron & Wine, Mumforf & Sons, Something Corporate, Vampire Weekend, probably others I'm forgetting.
IMO, Manchester Orchestra has one amazing song (Simple Math) and the rest are a bit "meh", Arctic Monkeys and Cage the Elephant have a lot of good quality stuff with a couple or few greatish songs, and I'm not too knowledgeable about the rest of them, or at least I don't think I am late at night with some booze in me.
Also, on long car trips, I like when she plays one of Lily Allen's albums, It's Not Me, It's You, which is a lot more popular overseas than I would have imagined. Pleasant listening the whole way through (a woman's voice is probably easier on a headache, which would explain it) and the song "Fuck You" echoes a lot of feelings I have on the world.

Wooooo Indie Bands!
I'm going to see Manchester Orchestra Thursday night! And Fang Island tomorrow night!
Stuff I've been digging lately:
The Antlers
Band of Horses (always)
The Gaslight Anthem
The Joy Formidable
The Naked and Famous
Sleeper Agent
Surfer Blood
Youth Lagoon
I need some stuff to listen to today. Grooveshark is your friend.

I just drank a big glass of chocolate milk.

you show up too late to a posbang thread. (sad face)

That is a LOT of Calcium!

Maybe it will all be more clear to me then. Right now it just looks like a karma conspiracy.

I misread this as MILF posbang and clicked right away. My bad, I'll go sit in the Steven R Kass "thinking sexual thoughts" penalty box.
