need to grow a pair and do something.  to think this team is hanging in there with nothing from irvin/walton/spike is nothing short of unbelievable.

I'm following the game via ESPN Gamecast. What a bizarre way to follow a basketball game. We're 7-24 (0.292 Pct) from 3. If we could just get that up to 35%. That's not asking too much, is it?

  • Walton - Looks like Walton is still hurting with that toe.  I am not saying he was super explosive to begin with but take a look at some of the games last year and he was much quicker and explosive a year ago.  I think this toe injury will be a season long thing...
  • Irvin - have they messed with his shot during the offseason?  He still has a bit of an awkward motion, but it seems it was more pronounced last year.  It is like with Joakim Noah of the Bulls, he has a horrible motion, but it works for him and the coaches let it be.  I feel like the coaches have tweaked too much of Irvin's shot and that is part of the reason he is so cold from the Arch this year.
  • Spike - Look, i love the guy just like everyone else, but with the season turning out the way it is, i don't like how many minutes he is playing.  He is best suited for spot duty, not 25+ a game.  I know you are thinking, oK then, but who plays his minutes then....See next point
  • Freshman - I know its been a rough start to the year for these guys, but lets be honest about this years team.  We are not very good.  This is not a Tournament team and even if we make it, without Levert, we are not going past the first weekend.  So, because of that, play the freshman as many minutes as we can.  None of them can redshirt anyways since they played too many minutes already this season.  they need to take their lumps and that is the only way they are going to improve.  Let Dawkins, MAAR and Chaptman play as many minutes as possible.  I would rather see them just get their tail kicked now and learn from it.
