Watching this game just drives home the fact the offense needed a new direction.  This should have been a 30 point blow out by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Couldn’t agree more. We dominated in that game but frustrating that score didn’t indicate it. Oh well... we won... on their home field. I hope we absolutely trounce them this year in AA.

I've been waiting for a season where Michigan blows out Sparty by a score of 56-0.

I'm hoping it'll be this season.

1. Sparty's offense is anemic and broken. I hope this continues in 2019.

2. Despite Sparty's defense being elite, we moved the ball on Sparty consistently last year but struggled to finish drives. I hope the last past changes.

My biggest frustration with the passing offense last year was how little Michigan utilized throws to the middle of the field. It seemed every single throw was made to a sideline where if the ball misses the mark, it's likely going to be incomplete. But if the receiver makes their catch, they're also unlikely to have a chance to get any yards after catch. It just seemed like a waste and an unnecessary handicap to limit your offense to only half the field.

“Winding up he’s got a receiver...it’s Peoples-Jones, PEOPLES-JONES DOWN THE SIDELINE..touchdown Wolverines. 79 yards”

Though the game was tight, M pretty much dominated and it was definitely a fun game to see.  Hoping for 42 to -7

havent figures out how to make a team have negative points, but if anyone deserves it, it’s MSU

This is the one game I didn’t have a problem with conservative play calling. The weather was dodgy and it was clear MSU was basically not moving the ball. The only way they would stay in the game was if Michigan made too many mistakes. The D for Staee kept them in the game but you could tell they ran out of gas by the fourth quarter because they were simply on the field too long.

That is my one great concern with the new offense..how it will do in 'dodgy' weather. UM will play MSU late this year, in mid-november and MSU's lame Offense is built for midwest late fall weather. How will 'speedinspace' do in similar conditions?

Looking back MSU has had some of its biggest wins/kept things close to teams with better talent with the help of mother nature.
