Drew 3 walks in the top of the first, but couldn't get any hits. (had first and second with 1 out, bases loaded with 2 outs).

Bottom of the order (7-8-9) due up in the top of the 2nd.

Looks like Betsa will get the start here in the bottom of the 1st.

Still no hits. Ramirez was walked with 2 outs, but Sierra Lawrence grounded out right after.

Romero will be up first in the top of the third.

Geez, 5 reaching bases, not a single run yet. Miami playing with fire so far. UM gotta make them pay though. I would like to think a lot of these ground and fly outs eventually start turning into hits.

Miami still has a no hitter against us going through 3 innings.

We got a baserunner on again, but only because Tera Blanco was hit by a pitch.

Betsa strikes out the first batter in the bottom of the 3rd, but the second batter gets a deep single for the first hit of the game on either side.

Then a fielder's choice to move the runner over.

Runner on 2nd, 2 outs.

Top of Miami order up to bat.

Sac bunt and then a great reaction from Aidan Falk to snag a tricky foul-out!  Michigan comes back up in a scoreless game.  It's past time for the offense to get going - let's see if the back half of the order can get us some action here.

Great play by Aidan Falk (our catcher). Catches a foul pop to end the inning without any damage done.

Still 0-0, going into the top of the 4th. Michigan will have 6-7-8 up to bat

Unlucky ground-out (hard hit, but right at the 2B) and a K end the inning.  2 runs score for Michigan, though, and the top of the order looks like they are starting to dial in on what Miami's pitcher is doing.  Miami gets their chance in the B4.

Betsa continues to deal in the 4th, going 1-2-3 with two pop-outs around a K.  If the back half of the order can lock in here & put up some more runs, we could finally get our chance to put this one out of reach.

000 20 = 2 Michigan

000 0- = 0 Miami (NTM)

Ummm....I'm not sure she's out there at first. Miami might have just received a gift there.

3 weak ground outs - you gotta give Miami's pitcher credit, we are just not getting much done against her.  2-0, B5.  Looking like we're going to need to ride Betsa's arm in this one.

Can we please show more patience at the plate? Michigan should be pounding this pitcher.
