Michigan will play the winner of Oregon/UCLA on Friday at 8:30 on ESPN2. UCLA is currently up 2-0 in the bottom of the third, but Oregon is the national two seed and is 2-1 against UCLA on the season including a 8-0 5I game (in Westwood before tonight).

Just finished watching after having to Tivo it due to prior plans.  Great game, lots of positives to talk about.  Betsa was definitely the star, shutting out a very strong Bama team.  Now watching UCLA/Oregon - Ducks getting a little sloppy here in the 6th, making some mistakes to give the Bruins runs & extra opportunities.

I was wondering that as well.  She had already given up one hit, but after that comebacker, things just fell apart.  Her outfielder almost bailed her out w/ a diving catch, but once that got away, it was all systems go.  I'd be sad to see a great player not at her best at this stage, but if it potentially makes our path easier, I won't shed too many tears.

Oregon goes down!  7-1, the 7-seed UCLA Bruins send the Ducks to the losers bracket to face the Crimson Tide.  There are no easy roads this time of year, but I don't mind delaying our confrontation with one of the best pitchers in the country.

So if Driesenga actually comes back next season.... our line up is something like:

P: Betsa, Dreisenga, Blanco

C: Falk

1 Blanco, Swearingen

2 Romero

SS Ramirez

3 Montemarano

OF: Christner, Lawrence, Susalla

DP Vargas, Swearingen

That's not including any freshmen....
