4 PM- Michigan at Purdue (FOX): Joe Davis, Brady Quinn, Bruce Feldman

Davis and Quinn are young guys, but they seem to be fairly competent.  Davis seems to do a good job in announcing baseball.  He did announce Army @ Ohio State last week and did a fairly good job in my view.

Look, I'm just saying that I don't think the Michigan football game announcting can be as bad as the announcing duos over the last three weekends, namely:

vs Florida - Tessitore+Blackledge

vs Cincy - Bob Wischusen+Brock Huard

vs Air Force - Kevin Kugler+ Matt Millen

So let's try to enjoy this.  Or shut the volume off altogether, as I often do.

For what it's worth, it's Ohio State fans' turn to enjoy Matt Millen's kernels of wisdom this week vs. UNLV.

I've come around on Millen. If you think of him like your goofy druncle and try not to take him too seriously, he's not bad. He offsets the stupid shit he says with usually solid play diagnosis, especially defensively. Blackledge and Tessitore are pretty unremarkable either way.

Brock Huard is a giant douche-canoe though. Can't stand him, Danny Kinnel, and Joey Galloway.

I thought they were okay.  Then again, I had multiple games going on at the same time, so I wasn't too clued in to the audio.

I think Huard is okay.  He really liked the Big House, so I'm willing to give him some love.

to the couch while I was watching the game.  I could tell she was trying to nap, so I muted the TV for the entire second quarter.  It was amazing to me how much better the experience was as opposed to with the sound on.  I understand that it's a common joke, but holy hell, I felt liberated finally realizing I truly never have to listen to Matt Millen ever again.

I would have to disagree only because however terrible Matt Millen may be at other things, it is not possible - in my opinion - for him to be worse at any of those than he was in the front office of the Detroit Lions. If there was ever doubt that the Fords were enabling mediocrity, it was erased - as the behavior was confirmed - the day Millen was hired.

The first contract extension was total bullshit.  Face it, every Lions fan in existance thought hiring Millen was a slam dunk move.  Every single one of you bastards thought that!  And if you say you didn't, you're lying through your teeth.  Lions nation was so happy to get rid of Chuck Schmidt, we would have taken one of the anonymous CBS game producers with open arms.

I didn't mind either of the three previous broadcast teams.  Huard's robotic monotone voice gets annoying though.  I don't mind what he says, but just how he says it.  I always liked Millen as an analyst when he was doing NFL games many years ago.  He is now tainted to many because of the ineptness he brought to the Lions as a GM.  I can tolerate him though. Blackledge has always seemed like a bit of a tool, but I can tolerate him.

Is Rod Gilmore still doing games?  He was hands down the worst.

Tessitore and Blacklegde are terrible. Brock Huard is a douche. Matt Millen is thoroughly entertaining.

Mark it zero, next frame.

I wonder if Brady Quinn will take the time to compare this Michigan defense to the one that one that he so fondly remembers when he took a beating in South Bend!!!  There were some great pictures from that day, especially with Brady picking grass out of his helmet!!  That was "heavenly"!!  GO BLUE!!
