Michigan Makes an Appearance in Last Week's Episode of "Barry"
We can now add HBO's "Barry" to the list that includes "Air Force One," "Entourage" and so many others. I'm sure you "Barry" fans caught this, but U-M made an appearance on Friday night's episode.
The scumbag Fuches, who was revealed earlier this season to be an Ohio State fan, is trying to get back at Barry by letting some of Barry's former victims' families know that Barry killed their dad, etc. One of these is a woman and her adult son.
As Barry talks to the son, he notes that the young man had "signed to play baseball at Michigan" before Dad was shot and the kid's life was ruined. As the episode ended, the former Wolverine recruit was buying a gun and looking to exact his revenge.
Does the term “spoiler alert” mean anything to you?
Spoiler alert. 42-27
he can't 'spoiler alert' me!
who the heck is barry and why should i/we care?
Never heard of "Barry" either, but since I only have the most basic Comcast cable package I don't have many of the channels that carry new stuff, like HBO.
I've never seen it, but I think the main character is a hit man, but he's depressed? So Grosse Point Black meets The Sopranos...
If you were concerned about being spoiled on last week's episode of Barry and the phrase "Last Week's Episode of Barry" in the title didn't tip you off, I'm not sure the term "spoiler alert" would help you.
I was unsure when the new episodes air, nor did I have a chance to watch over the weekend. So your statement is false. In any case, when discussing scenes of a current season show, one should always present a spoiler alert. It's just good form.
Maybe ponder whether Michigan made an appearance in the last episode of Barry you watched, and if the answer is "no," or "I'm not sure," don't click the post?
I had already watched the episode, but the general rule of thumb is to wait a fair bit (I mean…they didn’t even wait 24 hours) before just posting details of an episode of shows or using some sort of spoiler tag. It’s more about the principle of internet etiquette than me trying to scold the OP.
Some people like to binge watch complete seasons, especially 1/2 hour shows on streaming channels. It's a thing.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.
Hab. You. Made. My. Day.
a goof-ball classic if there ever was one:
Given that Spare Tire went to MSU, I think it's only fair that we make Al Bundy an honorary wolverine.
Hey. How 'bout that?

Love Barry and love Michigan but as a Buffalo resident hearing about a kid buying a gun to kill people is sort of off-putting.
Dude, it’s fiction.
Art imitates life, or something like that.
Welcome to the rest of the country.
We all love Michigan. It’s a violent show, it’s dark comedy and it’s fiction. Best to avoid shows like this.
I feel you on that, West Quad. Also, the church in California.
If you’re a “Barry” fan, you know this isn’t a spoiler. This part of the episode was just a set-up. Nothing is spoiled.
Now, if we want to talk about the customer service scene …
Watched 10 min of the first episode of the season and shut it off. Loved the first few seasons but that shit made zero sense.
