Michigan logo now on Coca-Cola bottles, with a twist

As they do every football season, Coke is doing their college football promotions.

Last year it was a Maize Block M on a 24 can box of Coke. Well, this year they're doing logos on the regular Coke plastic bottles.......

The team logos are all in white. All of them. Works well if you have red in your color scheme.

Found this Michigan one today...............

This is like when you're at the potluck and the idiot who brought the seven layer salad made it with miracle whip instead of mayonnaise.

Bullshit.

Really?  You guys are upset about this?  I have no clue how anybody can actually be mad at this promotion just because Coca Cola put all the logos in their colors on their product.  Seriously, sometimes I feel like some Michigan fans just want to mad about stuff.

Pepsi, Coke and crass marketing of M to either’s benefit are all gross.

Bad enough that Nike’s benefitting from M, but Nike’s funding of M thru gear and $$ related to sporting and school spirit makes that relationship tolerable, maybe even understandable (if we can overlook some of the bad designs).

Coke’s marketing is unrelated to sports, demeans M, waters down the “brand” and brings back memories of the Brandon nightmare.  Plus the color scheme alludes to a school that I’m sick of succumbing to these past 14 of 15 years.

Is it really that hard to see?

I never implied I drink soda often. I was simply saying Pepsi tastes better than Coca-Cola. We all know soda is liquid sugar and bad for you. Beer and smoking are had for humans, yet we consume them anyway. Also, Barq’s root beer is my favorite root beer. I am also well aware that Coca-Cola distributes it.

Here I thought it was with a twist of lime, but there you go. While we're on the subject of liquid candy, I'll put out the unpopular opinion that our country would be a lot better off if these beverages didn't exist. There's as much corn syrup in a can of coke as there is sugar in two snickers bars.

Does anybody know if the schools individually license their logo to Coke for promos like this? Is it connected to our stadium/campus agreement with Coca Cola? Or, is this something that we leave to the Big Ten or some other collective entity to license on behalf of multiple schools?
