Football is narrowly squeaking out victories, and by a pure stroke of luck the basketball team is picked first in the league.

Enjoy it Michigan fans, if you dare.

>So being a billionaire involves feeling like you have to cover-up crimes for your subordinates, cheat on your wife, fake medical conditions,

A billionaire’s conscience would consider itself lucky if that were the only list of moral failings it had to deal with. And Urban is probably far more accomplished and talented than most failson billionaires.

How is the best college hockey roster ever assembled ranked #3 and not #1 preseason?  Who cares about preseason rankings and all, I get that.  But it doesn't make sense so I need to call it out.

They are very young. A couple of those top teams have men who are 25 years old. Mel said one of those teams' average age is older than one of the NHL team's average age ( I forget the teams he named but you get the point). By the season's end, we should be just fine and the goal is a NC....Minnesota is still very talented too.

Young, talented teams don't always pan out. Sometime the overagers win out against the skilled 17-19 year olds. It happens. Now this is the most talented young team ever assembled in D1 hockey so I wouldn't be surprised if we're #1 soon, but I don't blame voters for being cautious. Plus college hockey really tends to vote based on last year until proven otherwise

“Its no surprise Michigan Is ranked #3 this year”

It surprises the hell out of me.  Why would all this talent not be ranked #1?

They talked about lack of tournament experience. Goalie?  #1 and #2 loaded as well?

I don’t follow college hockey as closely but dang it seems like a team with this much top end NHL talent, and returning 9 of 10 top scorers, would be ranked #1.
