Perhaps someone with more skills than I can post the video here .

Things didn’t go as planned for Dametrius Walker. The 2022 recruit from Muskegon (Mich.) was just starting to see his star blow up, getting offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Syracuse, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan. But then, his worst nightmare happened

It was Osteosarcoma,” Walker explained. “It’s a rare bone cancer.”

Walker had offers to play college football from 10 division one schools including Michigan State, Syracuse and Kentucky. Now doctors were telling him football was off the table. Forever.

“Oh my when I found out I was like, ‘Oh man, life is about to change.” Walker said.

I just can't imagine being that kid or his parents, being a parent myself. Life takes ugly turns sometimes. Nice gesture by the team. Fuck Cancer.

Hope he can find strength, friendship and comfort within the UM football program and the general sports industry in his fight.

He has a gofundme that’s at a really low amount and it mentions that the osteosarcoma has metastasized to his lungs. This is unbelievably sad and I hope he is able to enjoy life as much as he possibly can. This was a nice thing to see.

As a retired pediatric oncology nurse the realities here strike me deeply-very deeply. While I have my quibbles at times with Jim's football coaching this is why I believe he just may be the best coach in college football.

Mannnn…that’s awesome!

Say what you want about Coach (I know there are many opinions) but this guy has a giant heart and has GENUINE love for people.  How can you not strive to be a better person when being around him?  What an incredible leader.

This is why Harbaugh is different. He’s an odd duck, but there isn’t one bad cell in his body. Puts his money where his mouth is on everything he stands for.

I have some differing opinions with him on certain topics, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love for my son to play for him one day. It’s all about molding well-rounded men and not just great football players.

Pure Michigan.  I have Sparty friends that tell me they want Harbaugh to stay as long as he wants.  I just look back at them and say. "Yay, I hope he stays here a long time."

Stuff like this is special.  The on the field stuff will take care of itself.

Character.  Giving back to others and the Community.  Turning talented boys into responsible men.

So much is said on different fronts.  But, this helps transform boys into men - who will give to their families - as a husband and father - and, the communities / companies / organizations - they will be part of during their lives.

God’s speed for recovery to all those affected by cancer and other illnesses.
