i grew up in SD and love the hitchcock-tulare reference Every coach in the Country is jumping through hoops to make contacts in aberdeen, pierre, watertown, huron, spearfish, faulkton, madison, canton, garretson, eureka, bowdle...theres too much talent all over the state to list all the power houses

Doens't he live out in arizona? I promise I don't know that because i stalk him, but because I remember him saying it somewhere when talking about Lewan.

Speaking of Arizona...it's astonishing how poorly UA and ASU do with the big dogs in the state. Corey Adams committing to ASU was one of the rare instances of the Arizona kid staying home. Kennard committed to USC today over Cal and Texas. Griffen picked USC over Michigan and ND two years ago. Roh and Lewan barely gave the Arizona schools a sniff. Rumor is Adam Hall is going to pick Oregon over Cal and Arizona on Friday. Weird phenomenon.

AU is in Tucson, and surrounded by nothing. Most of them live by ASU, which I've had the same thought about them. They need to do a better job recruiting. I haven't figured out what it is yet. Their campus isn't anything special. The downtown is pretty cool, and the stadium looks good between the mountains, but that's about it.

Hey Fuckfaces...it's UA, not AU. Seriously, what is with Midwesterners and East Coasters with this? That, and The University of Arizona is NOT the Sun Devils. Go Michigan Spartans. Dumbasses. Sorry...resume normal service. This pisses me off.

Haha. Seriously..it's ridiculous how often that's confused. Actually, UA very rarely focuses on Phoenix because it's such Sun Devil territory and Mike Stoops recruits a LOT from Texas. It's never been a historically successful area for UA - Dick Tomey loved Hawaii, go figure. Now that Phoenix is getting bigger and bigger and better at producing players, you'd think that would change. The biggest gaffe for the Lewan and Roh thing has to fall on Dennis Erickson and ASU. Letting those two leave, when you have historically put out good D-lineman, is a MAJOR sign
