This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.
These Rivals-level nicknames are stupid.
You critics on this board are becoming insufferable. This used to be such a more friendlier MGoBlog. What the hell happened?
This board has always been anti-stupid nicknames.
Puke is a 2008 level Mlive special. I realized the blog getting larger did this, but it really lowers the level of useful discourse.
May we still use Kensucky? Pleeease!!!!
I thought the appropriate term was DOOK.
I live out here and hear enough about those damn devils.
Incorrect. If anything this place has become far more "tolerant" (to its detriment IMO) of discussions on politics, race, religion and other previously verboten topics then ever before.
And for the record using "Puke" instead of Duke goes over about as favorably in 2020 as it did in 2010 when I first joined. Oh, and in case you're wondering you can add Sharty and O$U to your list of terms that wont win you any upvotes around here either.
You assume that I'm not at least selective of my nicknames that I use. I'd never dream of using the former ANYWHERE and I don't ever really think of using the latter as well, especially on here. Puke is so commonly used outside this bubble of a board I would've thought it'd be accepted but I guess if it makes you feel better I'll stop
However, cheese dicks are allowed in lieu of badgers.
That's a good stat I guess. But what about this one?

if it weren't for the fact that we probably have the lowest non-zero championship win % we'd be considered a blue blood.
Who has the highest win % in national semi-finals?!?
Fuck em both.

Anybody know who I missed?
Jordan Poole is on the Warriors who aren't participating. Iggy Brazdeikis is on the Knicks who aren't participating. Derrick Walton is on the Hawks who aren't participating.
Great question....I can't think of anyone either.
Basketball Reference also lists Nik Stauskas and Ekpe Udoh as active, but I don't think either is actually on a roster.
Walton is a Piston according to ESPN. (I know, this doesn't help.)
Raise your hand if you thought Caris Levert and Duncan Robinson would be our best pros. THJ might have an argument to be mentioned up there, but Levert and Duncan are probably the most highly valued & regarded currently.
I knew LeVert would end up as the best pro. His game translate well to the NBA. I was somewhat surprised at Duncan's success with the Heat but he signed with the right team who can develop players. Duncan took his shooting into a whole new level.
From what I’ve read, it wasn’t his shooting that became next level. He’s always been lights out from deep. The thing that has made him stick in the league is his ability to get open for that shot by running around picks more efficiently
He took much more difficult shots than what he took at Michigan. Yes, he got better at getting open but Duncan shot the ball at a much higher rate than he did at Michigan and took shots that he never took at Michigan.
Credit to our old boss, Coach Beilein. And, hopefully Juwan continues the tradition. You know, when they are allowed to play basketball again.
Nice
