Who knows when we will each get a chance to sit in that building again, but here are some dates to add to your calendar.

I wonder if you will have to show your vaccination card to attend games this fall? I'm optimistic that fans can attend games this fall.

I have my vaccination card, but will be so easy to forge one.

They will probably just scan the chip to verify that you have the vaccination....

May be up to 2 percent will have fake vaccination cards. There will be herd immunity within the stadium. I hope I can get my vaccination this summer to attend a game next fall. I worry my state is so slow in distribution. KS is still in phase 1 getting all the nursing home residents vaccinated. Phase 2 will be those 65 and older and younger people with underlying health conditions. I'm a non health care essential employee and will be on the list for phase 3. The remainder of the population will be in the final phase.

Already happening. I saw an article about how some guys got busted in Ireland for forging vaccination cards for people with the intent of traveling abroad. Sucks too because I'm itching for a vaccine and a plane ticket.

That would be pretty BS considering way more of us would get vaccinations if this were better organized than just being sent to hospitals and medical facilities. That shit should be available literally everywhere in every town in America. Make more. Come on.

Wow. UM gets the Huskies in back to back games.

This is the first time I'm officially seeing 2021 at East Lansing. There has been some chatter of this but it looks like we have Indiana at home now and MSU on the road.
February 4th, 2021 at 1:32 PM ^
I'd rather have IU at home. In the Harbaugh era, we seem to play MSU better on the road. For some reason MSU has beaten us at home more than they should have.
February 4th, 2021 at 1:45 PM ^
Based on results, you are right but there are some weird results there with the 2015 ending (MSU was good then), 2017 monsoon (couldn't hang on to the ball + O'Korn), and 2020 shit show season (battle of 2 crap teams). Going forward, I expect Michigan to win regardless of venue even though the past hasn't necessarily shown that.

"MSU has beaten us more than they should have."
FIFY...

The better news is that Ohio State game will be at Michigan Stadium so hopefully we're back to MSU and Ohio State playing home and away in opposite years. At this point it's just a hope: if you check future schedules, you will see both games return to both-at-home same years and both-away same years starting 2022. Are we waiting for the B1G Ten to make a decision about this or is it a done deal?
Also glad to see the season top heavy in September - early October home games before the cooler weather hits.
February 4th, 2021 at 3:12 PM ^
If the Big Ten has any sense (very much uncertain!), it will keep this, because all three of Michigan, Ohio State and MSU will benefit from the games being this way. Michigan will have MSU/OSU home alternately (as before 2014), MSU will have the same for UM/OSU, and OSU will have the same for UM/PSU.

Did I actually see that Michigan is playing at MSU in 2021 and at MSU in 2022? It was supposed to be at MSU in 2020 - that was moved to UM. Did we swap a no attendance, COVID game for an AT MSU game with (possible) regular attendance? I am reading this correctly?
February 4th, 2021 at 4:44 PM ^
That's what the graphic implies. Next Sparty game in Ann Arbor is 2023!
February 4th, 2021 at 7:04 PM ^
There is no way Michigan will end up playing back to back years at MSU. Already did that once recently
February 4th, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
The second sentence states this plan is tentative and based on guidelines about COVID. There's a lot of wiggle room as to how many fans would be allowed to attend. Let's hope we can see things turning for the better during the course of the summer.

I don’t see why we would not be 100% capacity by fall. We will have enough vaccine to cover the entire population by summer. Anyone who wants one will have one. The vaccine is 100% effective at preventing hospitalization and death and very effective at preventing infection. We will likely have booster shots available at that time that also deal with variants and again even with the variants we still have the 100% effectiveness against hospitalization and death.
If people are not vaccinated, attend the game and catch Covid, that is there concern. I am looking forward to going to a game.

Does anyone know how this works for graduating seniors? Do they just join the “interested” list or is there another route? My son will be graduating and is planning on getting some season seats.

Gosh I hope we’ll be able to attend this fall. We so much missed it this year. After we get our second Covid vaccination next week, my wife and I are going to have those little cards they give you laminated. Hoping our kids and grandkids can get vaccinated by September! Hoping EVERYONE who wants to be vaccinated can be by next fall!
