Michigan and FSU Monday at 7pm EST
FSU beat Arkansas 1-0 and will face the maize and blue Monday night at 7pm. Go Blue!
Go Blue!! It’s been an AWESOME day in Omaha!!!
Can someone give some insight on how the General Admission tickets work? Recommended time to show up to guarantee myself a seat? Anything else of that nature? Thanks in advance.
Very early... there was an extremely long line and they only allow in a certain amount of people in. It was crazy this morning around 11:30 for a 1pm start, I don’t know when they cut it off.
There is not guarantee you get in, the GA tickets are for any game, first come first serve.
if you want tickets I’ll have 3 in the Michigan section for Wednesday (if we lose) and maybe 3 for Friday, send me an email if you’re interested in seats rather than general admission.
edit... left off my email if interested [email protected]
GA tickets are good for one game. The stadium is cleared out after each game
Whoever lobbied for FSU and Michigan to be selected for the 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament (even though they were among the last four teams selected) might not have envisioned this matchup happening in the winners' bracket on the third day of the College World Series in Omaha, but kudos to those selection committee members.
I think every year Florida and Florida State football should face off with the winner receiving the privilege of being our rival for that year
Florida state and Texas Tech as opponents in an NCAA tourney. Where have I seen this ?
So, are we now a baseball school with a basketball team, who also tinkers in football?
...and has a cup of coffee in hockey every now and then.
If Wolverine Devotee had his way, we would be a cheerleading school . .
An apparel manufacturer

Which football? The round or oblong version?
yes, but only until August 31.
Should be an interesting game, especially with all the rumors that Bakich may be replacing Martin next year at FSU.
Bakich is negotiating a clause in his contract that FSU has to throw this game
Booooo Youuu, can't we just enjoy the moment!
Wut.
Relax! I'm pretty sure that rumor originated in tonight's game thread.
legitimately curious where you've seen the rumors. please elaborate
Someone should tell Warde to prep the money cannon.
Will have to get his attention away from the buffet first.
Yeah, because he's done such a horrible job hiring and retaining good coaches...
No, there are no such rumors.
Every person I have seen mentioned for that vacancy has ties to the state of Florida. Bakich does not.
Looks like we will get FSUs best pitcher, CJ Van Eyk. Drafted in the 19th Rd out of highschool and bleacher report has him mocked in the first Rd for next year's draft. They use their pitcher who was drafted this year as a closer, JC Flowers. So runs will be at a premium tomorrow.
I like our odds better in a pitchers duel/grind it out game anyways
If he is better than Parrish was last night we will have a hard time winning. However, I don't think he will be that dominant. That kid pitched a game of a lifetime last night in shutting down one of the best teams in College baseball.
Either way, the winner of tomorrow's game will be a great story.
He'll mock in the third round after we're done with him...
Will be there on Monday. Looking forward to it!
Their O-line still sucks under Taggart. Don Brown will scheme something up to knock out their quarterback. Again. On offense, Gattis gets #SpeedInSpace, big time.

FSU - 7

Can’t believe I had OSU fans updating me on the game. They wouldn’t wish good luck but was glad to see Midwest team playing.
I think it's different in baseball because they want a midwest team playing well for recruiting purposes as well as raising profile that they can win from anywhere.
Let’s Go Blue!!
What a run by Michigan and it’s absolutely pathetic that the Big Ten has had only 2 teams in the CWS since 1984!!!! Do they play baseball in the Midwest? I couldn’t believe that when I heard it. Go Blue!!! Hope you win the whole thing
It's because Big Ten is considered to be a midmajor conference in baseball. They're not a good conference overall in comparison to other conferences in the south and the west coast.
It's hard for a team north of Mason-Dixon line to be dominant because they have a hard time attracting marquee talent as well as developing them due to the fact they don't play baseball year round.
The timing of college baseball season has to play a huge role in that mindset. Midwestern baseball weather has only just arrived and southern baseball weather is about to be over. Shift the season by two months and the talent would flow differently.
So ten years then?
Good thing for global warming.

Some would say that’s the end of the window. /s
Interesting comment that I believe is true. In the South, baseball and football are huge and almost played year round. Basketball is not really the focus. I know that wrestling and hockey are much bigger in the Midwest too.
Just saw that Tommy Henry gets the start Monday, with Criswell coming out of the bullpen if Michigan has a chance to win.
Assume it's Tommy Henry.
Go Blue baby.
