Michael Dwumfour at the Lions game

Dwumfour posted from Ford Field this afternoon on his Instagram story.  And Chris Balas just tweeted that he hasn’t been seen in Orlando with the team. Obviously not a good sign.

I don’t really get this. Maybe it’s disciplinary reasons? He’s not getting drafted. He gets PT, so why would he transfer.

Edit: I think he’s just visiting his buddy Rashan. I’m sure all is well.

This is true. I know the director of maintenance and operations for Sarasota schools (we stay at their house when we go to Siesta Key). Karan’s father worked for the maintenance department for years and still had contact with him. He was enraged when Karan wasn’t offensive MVP last year and was a major voice in Karan not playing in the bowl game last year.

Possibly. It seems like we would have heard about it since it would be so serious that he didn’t even travel with the team. I’m sure Alabama could’ve easily figured that out so I don’t know why it needs to be a secret. But then again...Harbaugh.

He's injured.  He'll be back and hopefully 20 pounds heavier next year.  A rotation/ combination of Dwumfour, Hinton, Smith at nose and 3 Tech would be, well, better than this year.

SOL lie-downs, currently leading Green Bay.  lie-downs will do everything stupid, like winning a meaningless game, to ruin their draft position, and then still draft a tight-end.

Whether he plays or not doesn’t matter. Alabama is going to run past, around, and over Michigan’s defense all day on Wednesday. Najee is going for at least 150. Might as well get the freshmen in there to get them some reps. The experience can’t hurt.

Michigan’s only chance is if Alabama’s secondary decides not to show up, Shea can make some big plays with Collins and DPJ on a consistent basis, and if the game comes down to the last possession, force Alabama to have to kick to win the game.

Otherwise, this game has 54-21 Alabama written all over it.

According to a Freep article:

A team spokesperson said Sunday afternoon Dwumfour, a redshirt junior defensive tackle, underwent a medical procedure that prevented him from traveling to Orlando and will thus keep him from participating in the Wolverines' game against Alabama on Jan. 1.

All Alabama will do is run up the middle for 8 yards a crack. Only question is which Michigan offense will show up? If we can keep up scoring it could stay interesting! Otherwise it will be a big blowout.
