Miami Meet-Up Plans?
Here in beautiful Coral Gables (after a fun 4 hours at FLL) and wondering what everyone here in Miami’s plans are for tomorrow (and tonight)?
First time in Miami and so far, quite impressed.
Would love to meet up with any of y’all tomorrow before we take on the Dawgs

My husband and I are sitting in section 138. He's tall with a gray (ok, white) goatee and will be wearing a Michigan baseball cap. I'm short with dark hair and will be wearing a maize classic Michigan t-shirt. Give us a shout out if you see us!

I heard (from my Uber driver) that the neighborhood near the stadium is nonexistent, but it would be great if mgo people (or just football people generally) were meeting up somewhere else. Any ideas?

I was in Miami (got covid) the week that Sparty played Miami. That god awful green blended right in with the color palette that is the tropics. Kind of ruined a beautiful place though seeing all the camo and busch light tall boys in tall boy koozies.

HomeSure Lending won't be in attendance for this one. If this one goes as we all hope, I will very likely be hosting a party in Indy at the same place I hosted at for Big Ten Championship. This time with a heated tent. Go Blue!

Seriously, though, every single place that has a decently large population is experiencing insane amounts of spread. The spread is the same in places that are masked up with tons of restrictions and places that are just letting it rip. The new variant appears to be so contagious that none of the things that we thought worked in the past are doing a thing to stop it. Fortunately, this variant seems to be relatively mild in terms of severity. I know or know of at least 50 people who tested positive in December and all said that the symptoms were really more like a light cold than even a flu.

This is false. You're making an apples-oranges comparison. Few places have tons of restrictions, and medical-grade masks still offer a lot of added protection, according to all experts. (Cloth masks, less so.) Don't spread misinformation.

Dude, calm down. No political statements intended. And I was not spreading misinformation. NYC, where I am from, has had a strict mask mandate in place for over 3 weeks. You can’t walk inside without a mask anywhere. And it is strictly enforced. Guess which city just broke case # and positivity records 4 days in a row? NYC.
Also, you referred to medical grade masks. Hate to tell you but very few people are wearing medical grade masks. Most people are wearing cloth or disposable paper masks. At this point, it is pretty well recognized that those offer very little protection (a doctor on CNN - not exactly a right wing network - recently described the masks that most people are wearing as “face decorations”).
But you didn’t address the pout that I made that places like NYC with tons of restrictions and places like Florida with none are experiencing similar results these days.

There is a Michigan Fan Fest Pep Rally in the South Parking Lot of Hard Rock Stadium before the game tomorrow. Not sure what time it starts but the marching band is scheduled to appear at 5:25 p.m.

There is a really nice Denny's in Vegas just off the strip (MGM end). Service was better than the food, which is saying a lot because the food was edible perfection.

I'm also in Coral Gables...Staying near Miracle Mile until 2pm when meeting up with friends near downtown Miami before carpooling to the game. If you are free for lunch before or want to figure plans after the game comment below.

We’re probably heading down to Hard Rock area around 3:30 and hoping to find some tailgate or something around there if there is anything. We are in the terrace seats, where are you guys at?

Same hotel.... Tailgate plans are being decided last minute but we have friends in the orange/yellow lots. Might watch part of the first CFP game downtown and then head in around 430.
