What's the pricing like for the shirts in your location? I'm actively designing a new shirt for California and need to figure out how nice of a base shirt to use.

Same hotel.... Tailgate…

Same hotel.... Tailgate plans are being decided last minute but we have friends in the orange/yellow lots.   Might watch part of the first CFP game downtown and then head in around 430.

I'm also in Coral Gables…

I'm also in Coral Gables...Staying near Miracle Mile until 2pm when meeting up with friends near downtown Miami before carpooling to the game.   If you are free for lunch before or want to figure plans after the game comment below.

They are putting…

They are putting restrictions on the higher donors for the number of tickets.  Honestly I’m kind of expecting the priority points value to be slightly lower than the orange bowl.   That being said the higher up donors got a chance to purchase additional orange bowl tickets after they were all “sold”.

Think of the demand this…

Think of the demand this game would have. … when was the last time Michigan was in a game that could decide the national championship.   Georgia has been in the same boat.

If upper bowl tickets for the orange bowl are $600-700, what would a national championship game go for within driving distance of the school.  $1000 is cheap.

That being said I’m highly considering buying tickets if I don’t get any from the school on Dec 17th.  If we don’t make it, there will be a lot of demand from Georgia on the Orange Bowl winner side.

I guess my question is how…

I guess my question is how much do you want to future proof your device.   Wifi 6E is coming soon (realistically next year) and it's going to be a game changer for Wifi.  It adds the 6GHz-7GHz spectrum for routers to use which is essentially quadrupling the bands available. However, it'll take time for laptops, phones, etc to get new chips designed in to leverage the new bands.

the cap used to be 300GB

I live in the trial market for the cap and it was 300GB before the 1TB limits.  I didn't cut the cord because I knew I could kill that easily.   There's some petitions in with the FCC that you can sign if you don't like the cap.

Awesome to hear.   I missed

Awesome to hear.   I missed this earlier and wanted to donate once I heard, so I went into my email and saw that.  Count on 2 more tickets being donated...

Kinda missed the deadline.

As a season ticket holder, you may donate your UM/Air Force tickets to a deserving veteran or service member.  Any U-M/Air Force tickets donated prior to August 11th will be distributed to current and former military members. To donate your tickets:

It kind of looks like anything donated now isn't going to be distributed to the military.

Nope. Dallas Endowment

No.  It goes to the endowment that the Dallas Club has which funds partial scholarship for students that go to UM.   The bars have already donated thousands of dollars to the scholarships and that's only been the status quo for like the last three years.

UR Points

I went all in on the Ultimate Reward (UR) points as I like to travel a lot and eat out.  I then use my points to book ONLY travel in order to maximize the output (flights & hotels).  You can find cases of the UR points worth over 2 cents if you transfer it properly.

I have three cards that I rotate... the Chase Sapphire Reserve ($450 fee), Freedom ($0 fee), and Freedom Unlimited ($0 fee) that all earn UR points.  You can redeem them on any card but you want to use your Reserve for all reward travel because the points are given a 50% bonus when you use it for travel.

Here's how I decide what card to use.

Freedom earns 5% (in my case 7.5%) back on any purchase in the rotating category that quarter.   This quarter is grocery stores.   Pro tip: max out the cash back by buying gift cards.

Sapphire Reserve earns 3% on travel/hotels/uber/parking and restaurants/bars (4.5% in my case) and 1% on everything else.  Signup bonus is 50K points = $750 dollars for travel.  The first $300 you spend on travel every year is a credit back which makes the fee only $150.  It gives you lounge access which is great overseas (not so much in the US).  Global Entry/TSA pre-check fees are covered for the first time.  All kinds of travel insurance.   Extra year of warrenty on items bought.  No foreign transaction fees. tAnd some other stuff.

Freedom Unlimited earns 1.5% back (2.25% in my case) and is used for anything that doesn't hit the above categories.   This puts me above the 2% standard cash back on other cards.

So I earn either 7.5%, 4.5%, or 2.25% cash back which I use on travel on all of my purchases with only paying one credit card fee.

Booking tickets with Chase is like using Kayak.  The points are a reflection of the cost of the ticket.  You can book on any airline or transfer points to that airline.  If you book through Chase, you still get your EQD's and EQM's on the airline you fly (and you don't pay for the ticket).  This alone makes UR points more rewarding in my mind than American/Delta/United credit cards.

Say hello to my German friend!

  • There's a ton of parking near the stadium which will be a minimum of $25.   However, the lots are big and will take forever to get out of after the game.  If you look online restaurants and other places will sell parking cheaper.  I've always liked parking near the highway which allows for a quick out but it's a 1/2 mile walk.
  • Don't stay in Arlington.   Pick either Fort Worth (nightlife in Sundance Square/Stockyards) or Dallas (Uptown/Deep Ellum/Addison/Lower Greenville for nightlife).  The drive will be ~30 minutes.
  • Baylor is like 2 hours away.   I'd veto it just for the drive.  SMU has a huge tailgating scene (it's called boulevarding) while TCU is probably more interested in the football.   I still haven't been to either for a game.
  • Cheapest tickets will probably be 120 for nosebleeds.

Maui Condo

So condo's will probably be the way to go.   Look up property management companies on the island and you'll find things that will give you the extra space than a hotel room.   It probably won't be directly on the beach but they'll be a short walk/drive.

One of the companies that my family has used in the past to rent condo's is http://www.harrishawaii.com/.

Next Issue

So I wanted to cut the cord but I live in an area of the country in a "trial program" by my cable company.   I have a home internet data cap.   The basic internet package has a limit of 300GB per month per household.   If you go over, every 50GB is an additional $10.

Cutting the cord would get very expensive very quickly.  HD Netflix can be 5-9 GB per hour.

No.

If you play football and any other sport, the scholarship counts towards football.   I think only football and basketball have these rules so teams can't load up on players if they "play" two sports at the school.

I've heard Cam Newton money.   They're game changers for programs.

Front row in the third level of Cowboy Stadium.   I was with Michigan and Florida friends and sat next to a Kansas fan by himself.   We talked at half time about what to expect in the second half and I explicitly told him that Trey Burke would stop passing and start putting up some points on the board.   At some point during the second half we joked about overtime.   After the game, he just gave me his ticket for the elite 8 game.

I think it's safe to say that Jake Rudock will only be at UM for one year.

Did you randomize the inputs

Did you randomize the inputs in SurveyMonkey?

If not, there is probably a bias to keep the default or stay close to the way you structured initiially.

The fact that a lot of these position groups didn't change makes me question these results.

In State Tuition... now that's a joke.   Out of State in Arizona is cheaper or at a similar cost to In State at Michigan.
